NYK gets the win.

No 'Melo? No Amare? No Baron? No problem!

Lin finishes with 44 minutes played (WTF???) and 28 pts, 2 rebs, 8 assts, 2 stls, 8 TOs

His most impressive feat of the night? Making Jared Jeffries actually look like a credible offensive option.

Next up: John Wall and the Wiz.

I guess I'd take him over Jose at this point.

How about that Steve Novak? Uberstar in the making.

people here excited about Lin because we have no prospects

y'all will quickly get off the Jeremy bandwagon just as fast as the DeRozan bandwagon is emptying once he's shows he no better than a bench player

I know right?
This isn't a flash of his potential or anything. This is what he can already do. You're right about you being right most of the time, SJ.

somebody said that his play was fundamentals and smart, and not just fluke games of somebody getting into a hot streak. Guys need to differentiate lol.

edit: this is the same way the guy's been playing as when he destroyed Wall in the Summer League.

Again, I'm not basing his career on these 2 games but he looks like he's more than capable than playing in a higher level than a 3rd string PG scrub.

People are just having fun.

I watched the highlights of the New jersey game and what I could find of the Utah one (in addition to TORap's helpful post).

The thing is, he seems to get into the paint really easy, and makes sharp pases. He looks better than a 3rd string point guard, in my opinion. That much I'm confident about this early.

But - and this may just be a limitation of the clips I found - I don't see him being forced to take 15+ foot jumpers. So, like 'trane was suggesting, I want to see what happens when teams plan for this guy. Based on his quickness and willingness to get into the paint, I could see this going on for 10+ games. I want to see what happens if he is forced to shoot more, though, assuming teams are even able to make him do that.

Having a couple of scorers around him, like Melo and Amar'e, puts Lin at an advantage over a guy like Jennings, who caught the league completely off-guard but was brought back to earth, in part, because the opposition knew he would dominate the ball. Lin can pick his spots, if they manage to make it work.

You're right about us only seeing a sample of what he can do. From what I've seen, he has 3 pt range. He has a jumper but that's again from a small sample size.

Tonight, he had Jeffries, Novak, Walker, and Shumpert. I see what you mean about them not having a plan for this as of yet, but it's very surprising to defeat the Utah Jazz with this disadvantage.

Ha. He's not going anywhere until the season's done. NYK fans would burn MSG down.

Baron's not coming back any time soon and their other PGs suck ballz so I think it's safe to say that he stays in NYC for a bit.
