Suns, Wolves Discussed Nash Trade

If they are shopping Nash, we should try to work something out. He would be PERFECT for this team as the vet we need and the point guard we need and what he brings to the floor will help the development of all our players...

BC should be making calls IMO

Suns, Wolves Discussed Nash Trade

The Suns have explored discussions of a trade involving Steve Nash to the Wolves in a package that would include the No. 2 overall pick, according to sources.

The talks haven't advanced beyond the exploratory stage because of what sources described as a "mutual conclusion" by both teams that such a deal would ultimately not work for the Wolves.

The Suns covet Derrick Williams, according to sources.

if it costs our pick then i'd say it isnt worth it. i want kemba here

jeffb 06-22-2011 11:47 AM

Making calls? I'd rather take Parker. Nash is pretty much done. Unless they're willing to take Jose or Bargs and not include our pick they can suck an egg. Nash's luck would be ending his career in Minnesota. Lol

Someguy again 06-22-2011 11:49 AM

i would like it if utah was the team being discussed, i would love for nash to go there and command a millsap and jefferson frontcourt and if the opposing pg is too fast for nash, then you can get devin harris to switch and play man-on-man defense, anything but minnesota, someone get utah and nash a ring

powerfulpanda 06-22-2011 11:52 AM

i like nash so i want to see him go to a contender and not waste his last years on a rebuilding team like ours.
we don't have a team for him to be successful anyways....we're horrible 3 pt shooting team and we got no one to do pick and rolls with him

your kidding right?

Parker over Nash? Nash isn't done...

Nash can make fucking make DD and Amir look like all stars plus mentor bayless and be the vet we need...

Otherwise I'd like to see him go to a contender for a ring

if nash did come here, he could use amir, davis and bargnani for pick-and-pop and pick-and-roll plays pretty well. as for spot up jumpshooting, derozan and james johnson has a nice mid range and barbosa is here, but i agree with you first point, nash should be sent to a contender or a young team that has all the pieces (okc, utah or portland)

edit: on second thought nash on portland would be absolute destruction

With the way Amir roll's to the rim, him and nash would be pretty sweet..

And Ed Davis is only going to get better and better...

Just on age of course. And Nash is close to being done imo and I wouldn't even consider trading our pick for him.

Yep, Nash to the lakers.... or if Kidd doesn't stay, put him back on Dallas.

Mind you, having a large PG like Kidd really helped them win that trophy....

yeah having jason kidd guard wade and lebron was pretty big. nash doesn't guard wade and lebron.

nash would instantly make the lakers favourites again, i'd love to see him go there.

How about a 3 team deal between us, minny, and pheonix? I dont know math but can someone work out something with these

Minny - Flynn and 2nd pick

Pheonix - Vince and Nash

Toronto - Jose, Barg, and 5th pick

Don't worry about the math since fillers could be added to make the trade work. As such, what is the framework / basis of your trade proposal? Basically, as Jeff asked, who goes where? It's not enough to just throw names out, but you also have to indicate to which team each player will go.

I think that Nash back to DAL would be a nice story AND it'd give the Mavs exactly what they were lacking at times... a guy who can create plays when Dirk isn't on the floor.

I don't want him to go to LA because I REALLY don't want to have to be forced to cheer for the Lakers. :sigh:

Why would you feel compelled to?

He seems like a bumb from his interview. Character wise I don`t like him. I like Brandon Knight, he seems like a real G. Seems like he has some values in life.
