Suns trying to figure out ways to get Hedo more engaged

I really thought he was going to have a resurgence in Phoenix.

Quote:
The Suns' Hedo Turkoglu, one of the key pieces who is supposed to fill the power forward vacuum left by Stoudemire, shot 2-for-7, including 0-for-3 from long range, plus two rebounds in 17 minutes. For the season, he's averaging 8.5 points on 37 percent shooting plus 4.0 rebounds.

"We're trying to figure out ways to get him more engaged," Gentry said.

i dunno about the rest of you, but i'd feel a little ripped off if he started playing all balls out this season so i can't say i am saddened by this news.

He is sinking. What will his excuse be for playing bad again? I'm sure all Raptors fans are glad because he left the city. I was disappointed by Hedo when he was in Toronto, now i don't care. Especially after he wanted money for himself and his teammates for their succes in the World Championship.

He said it like a joke (he said they want moral and financial support) but after the tournament each player got nearly 1 million dollars !!!

you could tell with all the missed layups this summer that he had nothing left in those legs

it's a little sad, like with Jalen, but I'm happy we don't have to suffer through it - anymore

Ahhhhh some great players don't get a ring. I don't feel any more sorry for him than anyone else. He's extremely rich, has won two league MVP's, is loved by a country, has had a long and pretty injury free career, is a future HOF player, and is our next PM.

Hedo won't get motivated by anyone but Stan Van Gundy.

He took advantage of Triano's easy-going personality, and is now doing the same with Gentry.

Hedo just needs to play on a team with a Monster in the paint.
he's lazy and likes to just dangle around the 3 point line, and playing with someone like D12 allowed him to dangle and not have to work to get a shot... he'd sit there and be wide open for a good percentage of the game and just sit back and nail a jumper or two... or play pick and pop half the time suing D12 as his decoy...

now, he has to work for his shot and work to move around defenders.... and we all know how he feels about working.
if you get a chance, watch a suns game and see how horribly slow he is and how horrible he is at moving without the ball. its sad really.

I agree. He was perfect for the Orlando system. Since Nelson is good at playing off the ball, Hedo got to run offence. Lazy or not, he was engaged. I think without the ball, he's not motivated.
