Looks more and more likely Dampier will be a Raptor soon.

With Robin Lopez expected to miss several weeks with a left knee sprain, the Suns are likely to sign center Earl Barron.

Barron could join the team for Wednesday's game at Miami, pending that he passes a physical. He'll sign a non-guaranteed contract.

Suns president Lon Babby said Lopez's knee damage was "a little bit more serious than we first thought it would be."

Well the rumoured destinations as of Friday were Toronto, Pheonix and an outside shot at Miami. Colangelo said last week that it's being considered. I guess the ball is in his court now.

I'd take potential and youth with this team over a 35(or whatever) year old anyday. That is if Barron has potential. Anyone know?

extremely limnited potential... On this team I'd take a proven vet to play limited minutes to help tutor the young players in practice over another guy likely never to make an impact of any significance. There aren't enough minutes for Barron here because he really shouldn't be taking minutes from Amir and Davis.

Me, along with others though hope he can keep up at the same pace, for the sake of the quick run-and-gun offense this team likes to play a lot of the times. Simply put- he's probably as slow as almost anyone would be at 35.

I agree, but I'd think Damp's value to this team would be shown in practice as well

I would only want Dampier if we sign him for extremely cheap.
