Default Stu Jackson blows

Stu Jackson, the NBA's vice president of basketball operations, believes that players should have a better understanding of the league's flagrant foul rules.

The NBA provides preseason and season-long dialogue with team officials to educate on fouls, but it was apparent to Jackson this weekend that more education is needed.

"I look at it as opportunity for us to further educate the players as well as the coaches in terms of what a flagrant foul is," Jackson told the Associated Press. "Certainly the league office has consistently communicated to both the competition committee members, as well as the teams, on an ongoing basis as these fouls occur.

"But if there's still some uncertainty with respect to what is a flagrant foul, what's a suspendable offense and what a hard foul is, then it's incumbent upon us here at the league office to do a better job going forward of educating everyone."

No Stu, the refs need to know what is and isnt a flagrant foul and need to be held accountable for their calls. Everything is so focused on what the players are doing wrong and nothing ever happens to the refs. Its like the NBA just completely ignores how bad the officiating is and then tries to put everything on the players. Soon enough just grabbing a guy will be a flagrant foul. Anyone who saw the Dallas game before the half knows how big of a joke the flagrant foul and refs are. Howard pushing his hand forward and grazing Smiths face when he was just trying to be upright to avoid the call, and then Kleiza going full steam ahead and 3 dallas players trying to stop him in mid flight and him ramming into Dampier and going to the floor because of the collision.

Flagrant fouls? Really Stu? Its amazing how this guy still has a job after he screwed Vancouver and is now screwing the players with multiple BS suspensions, and now if he is/has changed what a flagrant foul is, that too.

I totally agree about the fouls just before the half in the Denver Dallas game, there was no way the Howard push was a flagrant, they even called it on Terry because Howard was just given a flagrant a minute before, so not only did the ref's screw up the call, they gave it to the wrong guy.
This seasons playoffs have been dominated by poor officiating, from the Rondo no calls, to the missed foul call on Carmelo, i mean games have been decided by these poor decisions. Yes, Wright should have played till he heard the whistle but thats no excuse for not making the correct call, especially in a game that had about 80 free throw attempts. I dont know if it was Stu Jackson or some other twit coming out saying the nba admits that a mistake was made, dosnt do Dallas any good, instead of potentially been tied Denver got this series locked down.
An that Ron Artest flagrant 2 on Gasol, that shows what a joke the nba officials are! Oh but it was changed to flagrant 1, big bloody deal, Artest had just hit 2 shots from downtown, the Laker lead was down to 8 with around 2 mins to go, and they get 2 shots the ball back an Ron-Ron gone!
