Last night Rondo tied Stockton's record for most consecutive double-digit assist games with 37.

Magic has the overall record with 46.

If he keeps it up he would have a chance to tie Magic Dec. 15th vs. SAS.... and then pass him Dec. 18th against CHI.

Wonder if he'll get it? Gotta be a lot of pressure on his teammates to make shots! Ha!

I think he gets the record. The only thing that would stop him is if he's injured early in a game.

I'd like to think he does it barring injury. More than that I say he's a darkhorse candidate for MVP if Boston can win the Atlantic.

He creates such easy baskets for his teammates and can change the pace of a game in a split second.

i'm rooting for him... hope he gets it.
rondo is amazing and deserves more credit. all you ever hear is CP, Deron, Rose, Westbrook, etc.... if i'm a coach i want Rondo on my team rather than those guys. if i'm a player i want rondo in front of those guys. this guy makes the game so much easier for his teammates.

I've said this many times... and been called "crazy" because of it.

Glad to know that I'm not the only one.

There are definitely other players at the PG spot who are more "complete" and better in a 1-on-1 scenario. But in a 5-on-5 team game? The things that he does on the floor are one of a kind (now that Nash and Kidd are past their primes).

Hahahahaa... I remember that game. I have him on my fantasy team so I was tracking it and figured his streak would be broken.

A bit shady but stuff like that happens when you're chasing history.

Imagine if he suffered a serious injury playing extended minutes in a blowout while "chasing history"?

That's the risk he's taking I suppose.

On the whole he's pretty durable though so barring something like an ACL tear I couldn't see him ever sitting out for long.

Remember Jose's ridiculous play a few years ago when he was chasing ridiculous assist/turnover / low-turnover records. Dude wouldn't make an alley-oop pass if he had LeBron on the wing being guarded by Mugsy Bogues.
