Stephen Curry a bit too confident?

Quote:
Stephen Curry told Langston Wertz Jr. of the Charlotte Observer that he would make it to the NBA seven years ago.

At the time, Wertz remembers not being sure if Curry would even be a good high school player.

Recently, Wertz visited Curry as he took part in conditioning workouts at Time Warner Cable Arena.

"This is what it takes," Curry told the Charlotte Observer. "You've got to go to training camp at the top of your game and not use it to get in shape."

Curry also talked confidently about averaging 20 points per game as a rookie, becoming the NBA's Rookie of the Year and has visibly added bulk.

20 ppg is a huge stretch, but he'll get back to reality when his first NBA game comes.

with the way the warriors play. he could average 20...as long as he'll be the focal point, but i think he's still a bit young and since the ball will be in the hands of monta ellis...he's going to be the primary option.

He'll be in Don Nelson's doghouse for playing D.

Think of a 6'3 and under SHOOTER in the league right now who is averaging 15+ ppg off the top of your head.

Yeah.

If Curry wants to become a good pro hes going to have to learn to be unselfish, have more moves to his game off the dribble, and be a good PG because theres no way hes going to become successful as a 6 ft SG.

You need confidence to make it in this league, especially for a shooter

Will he be rookie of the year? unlikely, but its definitely possible

Curry is my personal ROY. He will blow up, and be a great scorer in the league. Especially with the doubters ou there. It's between him and Harden.

He meant Rookie of the Year, not Brandon Roy.

I'll go out on a limb (not like anything we say really matters) and say that he won't even get a vote for Rookie of the Year.

He kind of reminds me of a more selfish and cockier version of Allen Iverson or Stephon Marbury.

Is that humanly possible? I can see Curry averaging 17 and 2 and 2 and 1 and 1.5 but dont see him as that arrogant. Confidence is huge for a shooter.Im sure he will probably get more points than Marbury this year but I am sure he wont eat as much vaseline.
