Stay classy N.Y.
![]() Funny thing is.... the Knicks could have extended him with a cheaper 4-yr contract before the season was over.... but they chose to gamble and lost. Not sure how that makes it Lin's fault. Oh well.... ![]() |

Knicks could have got him for cheaper contract, as he would have been guaranteed with the limited role in NY (probably supporting Melo and co. for their stat building), while he is capable of growing further.
I'm pretty sure Fields will have a chance to score 10+PPG (with sweet passes from Lowry/Jose) with possibly 7+ RPG (with Bargnani on the court). The only concern is whether he could defend those top class SFs, like LBJ, KD, Melo, PP, etc. If he can effectively defend them, then Field's 20M/3yr contract is a crazy good deal ![]() |

I'd love to hear this explained. He got a contract with one year too big to ensure they'd get him. NY declined, and never made an initial offer. He signed the only off he had and hoped NY would match. Please let me know how he was a traitor or not loyal. Pleaaaaaaase let me know what he should have done differently.
