Default Stacked Teams

How come some teams are stacked while others are not?

Ex.

LA Lakers
bynum,
gasol,
bryant,
odom,
artest
(pretty much all of these guys are all-stars)
----------------------------------------------------------------
Sacramento Kings

desmond mason
kevin martin
nocioni
udoka
udrich
(MAYBE martin might be an all-star, rest of the guys are all second team low caliber)

So again, why are some teams stacked?

Did you just call the Kings stacked?

Bynum was drafted.
Bryant was trade for on draft day
Artest signed because the Lakers are awesome.
Odom came over in the Shaq deal
Gasol was pretty much given to the Lakers.

The Lakers are stacked due to great management, a great reputation and for its location.

The Kings are crap because of poor management.

Most teams who are horrible are horrible due to poor management and/or bad luck.

The lakers aren't "stacked"

It's not like baseball where one team cleans house (yanks), and buys all the good players. A stacked team would look like this

Nash
Garnett
Kobe
Lebron
Wade

My 2 cents, players are attracted to LA because of its benefits, history, and location. Players actually want a shot at winning so they'll sign with LA. Where would you rather play, Los Angeles population 20 000 000, or Minnesota?

The Lakers are probably the best-run team in pro sports. When you've got a great management team, a dominant basketball team and a great location it's a lot easier to maintain long-term success.

In terms of factoring in salary cap and building a realistic team, the Lakers are definately stacked rye. When you have a GAMECHANGER off your bench because youre already that damn good at those positions then you have a stacked team.

Or in Orlandos case, having 11 players whod be a rotation player on any team in the league,

I would rather have

Paul
Wade
Kobe
Lebron
Duncan

6th man Carmelo Anthony

Thats my 2 cents...

My question was more so about how the organization affords so many good players. Like boston for example-kg,wallce,allen,pierce,marbury,daniels etc.

Also, financially, what will a nba championship bring to the winning organization? Seems to me as if the team that wins the championship, has more superstars and continues to shop for superstars, whereas the team which looses doesn't, but rather gets a better chance of acquiring a new player via the draft.

Also, just for fun, I'd have the following lineup:

Paul
Wade
Lebron
Bosh
Howard

Both BOS and LAL are prime locations for "ring chasers".

Guys will play for less money there in order to have a shot at winning a title.

ORL is just about in that boat now too.

ORL has by far the most overall talent in the NBA top to bottom. They have n oexcuse besides injury NOT to win it this year.

I still question whether they have the mental toughness to beat a team like BOS or LAL over 7 games.... we'll see.
