Jrue Holiday and the Philadelphia 76ers have agreed upon a four-year, $41 million extension.

With minor incentives, Holiday's deal could reach $46 million, according to Sam Amick.

Holiday was the 17th overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft.

Holiday became the 76ers' starting point guard in his rookie season.

Holiday averaged 13.5 points, 4.5 assists and 1.6 steals per game last season.

Jrue is certainly better player than DD.

He's only 22, and he already proved his threatening skills from PO last year.

I think itīs a good contract. Heīs very young, he can score, he can pass the ball, decent ball handling, he can further improve...

he is much more complete than DeRozan

This is a very good contract. Jrue is very solid in all aspects of the game. Good shooter, passer, rebounder, defender, and has come in to his own in terms of running his team. Having Bynum in the lineup can only help.

Jrue is a fantastic young player... i didnt even realize that he's only 22. wow.
i guarentee that by the end of the year, this guy is one of the best young players in the league. he's going to break out this season.... he's a stat stuffer.

Great deal, real solid all around PG, can't believe we paid more for DD. :confused2:

i don't know how some of you guys can say this is a good contract and then say demar's deal was a bad one. dude averaged 13.5 ppg and is still pretty inconsistent, he's a good young pg but he hasn't warranted $10+ million a year. at most he should have gotten the same deal as dd.

LKeet6 11-02-2012 10:13 AM

jrue "a great player." wow, surprised to read that a few times.

he's good, but not great.

This contract is on a par with DD imo. You could maybe convince me he's slightly ahead of DD in his progression, there's not much in it.

Oops I missed that it could go up to 46 after bonuses.. DeMar is 42 after bonuses, correct?

i don't see much of a difference between him and stuckley at this point into his career.

Stonezz 11-02-2012 05:49 PM

Jrue has more range than Stuckey, other than that they are pretty similar.
