we should do this over the summer. once the draft, free agency and the cba talks quiet down and we're in the doldrums of the off season i'll organize a fantasy draft for rf. this will be fun.

Me too, Shifty.py, but whats the difference, you can select younger guys. It's just for fun, it's just act. What happens when draft is over? We compare our rosters and thats it.

i dunno what happens after. maybe we just compare and discuss. maybe we put them in head to head matchups in a tournament and let our members vote in a poll to see who wins each match. we'll see when the offseason progresses.

Good idea. I am for it, like Martynas says, its just for a fun. Most people here have limited knowledge about HOFs because most werent even born. But we have read about them and have watched a lot of footage so it will be fun.

PS: The tournament/voting idea is good too.

Wow, they really took Bosh, Amare and Kirilenko before Kevin Durant.

Picking Jordan over Wilt or Russell is simply idiotic.

Wow.

not sure if it's still around, but whatifsports has something like this. the big difference is that you're selecting the player by year instead of career. you could have five wilts on your team if you wanted.

COuld always compare statistically the assembled teams in regards to averaged offensive and defensive ratings/efficiancies ets.

Itll be a bit of work but not ridiculous.

I'm all in for this. Even if a few of the players don't have a full basketball encyclopedia, they can just choose players from our era or the 90s, and there are plenty of choices to be had there. I would want to make it at least 16 teams but I fear that despite the fact that the top picks are better than the lower ones, when it's MJ 1st, Kobe 9th and guys like AI 51st, snake seems to hinder rather than help competitive parity. Although if it is just for fun I guess it might not matter too much.

I f the poll is too big and it looks too hard, we can filtrate it. For example only international (non USA) guys all time draft (Only the ones eho played in the NBa for sure) or smth. And it would be easier, cause NBA barely had internationals until late 80s.
Just an idea... No racist though.
