Skiles and SVG are the 2 coaches that are tough their players. Pussification of the league at its best.

Maybe, but knowing what the situation is something tells me he wouldn't have a problem getting another job. Of course he wouldn't do it, but it would look good on them if he did. This whole thing is ridiculous. What i would prefer is Howard getting traded in the summer.

If he doesn't sign an extension in the offseason, I don't know how they can't trade him. !

He already signed his one year extension. Beyond that it isn't happening.

No, he just waived his opt-out clause. If he doesn't sign an extension in the off-season, why would they go through it all again? This season was a headache for all involved.

Wow this SVG and Howard is really getting out of hand. Its sorta like Ron Wilson getting the Fire Wilson Chants in the ACC, and management fired him the day after. Players shouldnt have a say for who they want to play for. They are being payed to display their talents and the coachs guide them towards the goal of winning. But since players make tons of $$ now who cares who they play for, and start to control management

Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard will undergo back surgery Friday morning in Los Angeles to repair a herniated disk, effectively ending his season and eliminating him from participation in the 2012 Summer Olympics, Howard's agent said Thursday night.

Howard has been complaining of back problems since early March, but it wasn't until Los Angeles-based spine surgeon Dr. Robert Watkins examined him last week that the herniated disk was discovered.

Howard received an epidural to alleviate the pain at that time and the plan was that he'd rest and rehabilitate his back for 10-14 days before deciding if he could return to play or further treatment might be necessary.

But his back has worsened and both Watkins and the Magic's medical staff determined that surgery is necessary.
Agent says Orlando Magic's Dwight Howard needs back surgery, is done for rest of season - ESPN

SVG is ALWAYS deflecting the blame...ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS

I wouldn't want to play for a coach like that either, I can definitely see why he's the least popular despite the fact he is a great coach, he just needs to stop getting behind a microphone
