people who aren't putting lebron first, are you forgetting what cleveland was? their record, with that supporting cast, i'd put lebron first by a mile. Hell, 100000000000000 miles. he's special, now if only he could learn how to breathe in fourth quarters of the NBA finals.
I would build to win though not entertain lol

If they intended to build around a player starting right now, I can't see how anyone who started their career in the 90's could be a legitimate choice.

1. LeBron James
2. Dwight Howard
3. Kevin Durant
4. Chris Paul
5. Derrick Rose
6. Russell Westbrook
7. Kevin Love
8. Deron Williams
9. Blake Griffin
10. Carmelo Anthony
11. LaMarcus Aldridge
12. Dwyane Wade
13. Rajon Rondo
14. Andrew Bynum
15. Marc Gasol

It's times like these you wonder where Brandon Roy would have been on this list...

Andrew Bynum for sure. He plays with such speed and charisma. He brings such power and grace to the Center spot. He's developing into one of the most effective big men that this league has ever seen.

I think it's a great opportunity for him in Orlando, the Magic will be getting such a phenom if they trade Dwight Howard to the Lakers for him.

thbbbfffffffft!! {farting noise}

I'd build around LBJ. His versatility is scary. Ability to play all 5 positions is scary too. The way he dragged that Cavs team to the 07 finals was exceptional. He isn't injury prone.

+ I agree with Toby, Bynum is an exceptional C in today's game. Also, I remember the 09 finals and there's a pic of DH12 standing beside AB. Bynum's physique is impressive.

I think people fail to realize how close him and KD actually are. KD is younger and on the same platform as Lebron. He's going to have a monster career.

since my team would have a defensive mindset I would take LeBron. Dude can be (if he isn't already) the best defensive player in recent history. his size and speed are unmatched. Just have him take less shots and pass, which he's good at already. He would be my starting PG and defend 1-4.

My list would be exactly the same as theirs, after reading that. They are the guys playing these dudes, and I'm sorry, these guys know the game better than I do.

Nash still at 8...wow, they love this guy. He's my age!

You just need to be re-built into a robot like Nash was.

You have to give it to him and G. Hill.... Hill's 39 and he's still D'ing up guys who are nearly half his age. Amazing. PHX must have the best training staff in the league.

well, genetics and a will to stay in shape help. Minus my hip issues if I had stayed active I'd be right where I was as a kid. Some of us age differently.

KD isn't as diverse or as dynamic of a player as Lebron is. Lebron is a better finisher, a better distributor, and a better rebounder, and a better defender, and it isn't even close in these four categories (well, it's close in rebounding).

KD is a great scorer, but he doesn't have the complete game that Lebron does.

KD is going to have a great career, but Lebron will go down as one of the top-5 players in the history of the game.

Durant is the choice... zero drama, zero negativity.... and is fearless. He's primed for a fantastic career.

Even though Bosh didn't make the list imma throw this out there... cuz I know you guys miss when I don't talk about him. Ha!

47: Chris Bosh leads the Heat with 47 points this season in the final five minutes of the fourth quarter or overtime when the game is within five points. LeBron James is next on Miami's list with 38, followed by Dwyane Wade (27) and Mario Chalmers (25).
Surprised even me TBH.
