Celtics Sheed to come out of retirement and rejoin the Celtics?

Stephen A. Smith: Rasheed Wallace wants to rejoin Celtics - Dan Patrick.com

"Stephen A. Smith joined the show to talk about the NBA and the latest trade rumors.

Smith said as well as the Heat are playing, there still remains the same problem they've had all season: "The question from me from Day 1 ... can they beat the Boston Celtics?" Smith said.

Smith said that the Celtics counter the Heat's athleticism with "brute size" and Rasheed Wallace will come out of retirement to come back to the Celtics.

Smith said Wallace told him that's the plan, because he wants another shot at the Lakers in the NBA Finals.

Smith said that New York is more appealing to Carmelo Anthony, but the Knicks just don't have the parts to get 'Melo. Smith said that Anthony is very concerned with his marketing capability."

Provided KG and Perk are healthy, that's one stellar frontline.

I was shocked he retired in the first place, especially after losing. This isn't surprising at all.

Sheed was pretty shitty for the Celts in a lot of ways, for most of the season. He didn't play that well in the playoffs either. He'll probably be the fourth big off the bench.

Washed up? He played pretty good in last year's playoffs as I recall. There's somethign to be said for experience in a playoff run. If I was Miami I'd be going after him too.

Rasheed was a negative most nights, IMO. If he wasn't hitting the three, which he struggled with last year, he was almost useless.

The Boston frontcourt is awesome. This would be good for them but I remember last year Sheed was starting to show his age, he started jacking up a lot of three's last year.

LOL

Boston has already beat the heat twice. And I hope they beat them every single time they meet up. I hope they get owned in the playoffs by Boston, hell I wouldn't care what team does it

Lol they only beat them because they had no idea how to play together. The senior citizens can't keep up with Miamis fast tempo. You can hate the Heat all you want but there is no denying they are the best team in the league right now, and thats coming from somebody who hates them. I doubt Miami will get owned, if you haven't noticed they are the ones owning everybody right now....

Of course if Boston tried to run with Miami they'd get whupped; Boston would probably lose a lot more if they weren't so good at slowing down the tempo and forcing teams to adjust to the way they play the game.

Boston will slow down the Heat, and the Heat will struggle with Boston's size and strength down low. In a big way. Miami is on fire right now but they're far from a complete team, and they will have trouble winning in the playoffs the way they're currently constructed.

You could be right.... Or wrong we`ll see next month. I could care less who wins I`m not really a fan of either, but I just don`t see Boston being able to keep up with Miami.
