Shaq & Walton going toe-to-toe

OK, not really, but they're trading insults at one another like children would. :cwm34:

Who do you agree with?

Belsius 02-13-2008 12:21 PM

I dont really agree with walton, but shaq should have being smarter and just say he doesnt care about what this people say.

Benzo 02-13-2008 12:36 PM

Walton is a moron. Regardless of this Shaq thing.

Acie 02-13-2008 12:40 PM

Walton is brilliant. His sophisticated style of humour is probably too hard for you to comprehend though.

Is that like "it is so bad it's funny".

He is such an idiot he appears to be brilliant...

Maybe you do understand it then. ;)

pimpery 02-13-2008 10:03 PM

Walton is very annoying... Shaq is very funny.

Shaq > Walton as a player, and as a personality ;)

rapsfan087 02-14-2008 11:46 AM

Walton works at TV, I just think he's doing his work: to try to raise audiences. Barkley makes the same. Maybe they say silly things, but if that's what sells, that's what they have to make.

Walton's right on this one folks. Shaq said he couldn't play, and now he's talking about championships. That's a bail in my books.

And for Shaq to suggest that Walton was faking his injuries... I mean, c'mon, the guy had his ankles fused together they were so bad. Shaq is funny, and a great character, but him pulling rank and accusing Walton of faking is ludicrous. I don't even think Walton was suggesting that Shaq was faking. He just implied that he gave up on Miami and has reversed his position now that he's on a contender. That's pretty weak, IMO. Even if you are MDE.

I admit nothing.....

...Alonzo did the samething Shaq did in NJ, and with us I suppose...I just like Shaq alot more than Walton so I'm looking for an excuse.

personally I love listening to Walton. I've explained this in detail in the past. I love that everything is epic for him. I also love the Dead. Dude loves NBA history, big men, toughness, team play and all that old school shite. Plus he has a political mind and sees the world outside of the NBA, which is a rarity for a sports broadcaster. I also love that Blazers team he played on, not to mention the glory days of the Celts.

Just like with Alonzo, this is douchery by Shaq. I will still love watching him on the Suns, but it's douchery nonethe less. It just makes it easier to take because it's Shaq and he's a great character.

I agree with you 100%. I love Bill Walton's sense of humour, respect for the game, references to Dylan, The Bealtes, etc. and the fact that every time I see the "Touch of Grey" video I know that Bill Kreutzmann's jacket is from him. He's also a huge fan of Canada and vacations here all of the time. :)
