Lakers Shake-Up Looming In Los Angeles?

Quote:
The Lakers officially entered crisis mode Monday, when general manager Mitch Kupchak told NBA.com that the recent poor play by the two-time defending champions may drive him to make a trade to shake up an underachieving roster.

"Regarding a trade, I may have to," Kupchak said at the team's practice facility a day after the convincing loss to their heated rivals, the Celtics. "I'm not saying that I've made calls today or I'll make them tomorrow. But I just don't think that we're playing as well as our talent level should allow us."
More here: Lakers' struggles have Kupchak ready to make moves | NBA.com

Do you guys expect any major shake-ups in the near future for the Lakers, ala the Orlando Magic, or just some minor tweaks?

Artest is a good player, but I think he's hurting the team a lot. So I see Artest going out

He's noticeably slower and not even as athletic anymore.
A short marriage for Artest and the Lakers.

Ariza's not looking so bad right now haha.

It's not gonna work this year though. All the contenders have noticeably upgraded their rosters, and Artest's definitely not getting any younger and neither are the Lakers.

The Lakers main competition in the west is going to be spurs. If you look at the spurs roster they have a lot of quick perimeter players. Parker, Hill, Ginobili, and Neal. I think the Lakers will try to make a move and trade Artest to aquire 1 or 2 athletic wing players.

If Melo ends up in LA for Artest, Brown, and some draft pick I think I'll quit watching basketball forever.

Melo for Odom, Artest, and Brown. Works out perfectly.

They don't need a ball-commanding scorer, they need a defensive role player that can hit the 3. I'd love to see them get Battier.

I don't know how LAL will fare with Melo going in for all their depth, but a core of Gasol, Bynum, Melo is scary. Kobe is getting old and so is Fish.

defensive role player that hits threes you say? Jose leads us in steals and hits threes!

Jose for Blake and one of Ebanks or Caracter.
