Sam Smith: Summer moves sends Suns into a decade of mediocrity

Quote:
Steve Nash: Before they could hire new management, owner Robert Sarver paid Hakim Warrick, Josh Childress and Channing Frye and took on Hedo Turkoglu's contract. It was a disaster for the Suns' future and basically sentenced the franchise to a decade of mediocrity. It was the greatest explanation for why teams need professional management and owners should stick with their big foam fingers, at least that one. It's going to occur to Nash pretty quickly that it's over in Phoenix. He's never been to a Finals and has a few good years left. The Knicks, where he has a summer home, and Toronto, where he has a lifetime of admiration, would be interested. Again, Orlando would be an intriguing shot. Maybe Oklahoma City and move Russell Westbrook to shooting guard and steal Jeff Green and begin to retool.

Several big names could be on the move this season | Bulls

If nash went to the raptors, I would buy my first Raptors jersey.

It would be a great use of our TPE.... man what a dream it would be.

I think we'd start selling out games!

Can't say I feel sorry for the Suns franchise. They fielded some great teams the past few years.

And yes, they are really stuck for young talent. Dragic, Lopez, Dudley, Clark? I think a decade sounds about right.

no idea why they got hedo, he doesnt fit into that offence at all. Its still fun to watch the suns as long as nash plays i guess. Plus they got a great coach in alvin gentry.

They sell out big games (ORL, LAL, BOS, PHX, etc) but I don't see too many Wizard or Clipper or Bucks games sold out lol....

I'd be curious to know how many sellouts we had last season.

I thought i heard 18? Yeah those games vs shit teams don't sellout, unless we're doing good and it's sunday.

I would say vs those types of teams we averaged 17-18,000. But really, how many people want to go see a wednesday night game vs Minnesota? lol

Thats exactly why if the NBA held those type of games on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon they would get more attendance. Weekend games usually draw a large crowd of Parents taking there kids ....
