Bulls Rumour: Gasol to Chicago for Boozer/Korver?

WTF is up with the Lakers?

Quote:
When the three-team trade that would have sent Chris Paul to the Los Angeles Lakers fell through there were plenty of hard feelings on the LA side of the equation. Lamar Odom was so upset that he requested and received a trade. Pau Gasol was equally upset, but was more grateful the deal fell through than anything else. Still, rumors of Gasol being dealt have been persistent, whether it was the Kevin Love deal the Lakers reportedly tried to consummate last summer or the Chris Paul deal. That is no doubt why there is not a Spanish-language outlet reporting that the Lakers are talking to the Chicago Bulls about a Carlos Boozer/Gasol swap.

The rumored deal would also involve Kyle Korver heading to LA along with Boozer.

Not happening. Gasol's WAY better than Boozer, period.

I would only do it for Boozer + Deng.

Boozer destroys the Blazers. I'd rather face Pau then Carlos

Can't amnesty players who weren't on your team when the CBA agreement was reached

Pau is going to be the lakers best player this season. I think he may have the best hands in the nba. You trade him your trading for a loss. There is only one big better.

If Lakers keep Pau and Bynum, Bynum will have a better season than Pau IMO...the dude is ready for a break-out season. He can score very efficiently and he's a much better rebounder and defender when compared to Gasol. Pau is Gasoft.

He did a pretty good job on Griffen both preseason games. The Soft shit is a bit of stereotype, which I think he shrugged off after his championships. And IMO Griffen looked ( soft may not be the right word) entitled. If you wanted to be accurate i would say he is actually a better banger then perimeter defender and a pretty savvy rebounder considering his mobility.

Lakers need to keep Gasol and trade Bynum (+ whoever else) for D12.
with D12 and Gasol Lakers will be unbeatable at both ends of the floor

Yes, he did. Gasol has the length to bother Griffin (worked last season too). Pau is a pretty good defender. I just think Bynum's impact on the defensive end cannot be matched by anyone on that Lakers team though.

Not really. He has his moments, but overall he's not an aggressive player...it's just not his nature. 2008 he got eaten alive by KG. Last season he turned into Paulina Gasol. I like the guy and I appreciate how much he meant in those 2 championship runs, but people make it sound like Kobe NEEDS him to win. No, Gasol NEEDS Kobe.

No doubt.

Bynum has been really impressive to me in the two pre-season games. He didn't finish particularly well around the rim in the first game, but Bynum is known to start slow during seasons (usually coming off an injury). I suspect he will he will continually improve his conditioning to get into mid-season form. Bynum is such an impact player for the Lakers and now he will finally get the touches he deserves on the offensive end. I expect him to have a BIG for the Lakers (if he's not traded).
