Rumor: Robin Lopez to NOH in a three team deal

Quote:

The Hornets are closing in on a sign-and-trade for Robin Lopez.

The deal would be completed as a three-team trade with the Suns and Wolves also involved.

Going to the Hornets along with Lopez will be Hakim Warrick.

Phoenix will acquire Wesley Johnson and a first round pick from the Wolves.

The trade would clear cap space for Minnesota as they pursue Andrei Kirilenko.

NOH quietly building a solid team.

Wow, NOH ending up with the better Lopez. Phoenix making a smart move to unload Warrick and reload with a pick and a chance to look at WJ

I'm a little surprised NOH are setting up to have Davis start at C after all of this 'he's a PF' talk. It's looking like Anderson and him will start in the frontcourt with Lopez off of the bench.

I'm confused as to why MIN is in this deal though. They're giving up Johnson and a 1st to get Warrick? Really?

And if NOH pay Lopez more than 4 million then they're out their damn minds.

I don't know, I think Anderson would be a good big to have off the bench. Front court of Davis at PF and Lopez at C would still be pretty good.

Anderson>>>Lopez. And I dont think Anderson signed longterm for that much money to be a backup.

Depends what kinda style Monty is looking to play next season. If he wants defense, he'll start Lopez.

i wonder why the nets havent made a pitch two brothers that are big one a scorer the other a defender plus the key ingredient that seperates the goid and bad teams chemistry

Done deal.

The Hornets, Suns and Timberwolves have agreed to a multiplayer trade sending 7-foot center Robin Lopez and forward Hakim Warrick from Phoenix to New Orleans, while moving forward Wesley Johnson and a first-round draft pick from Minnesota to Phoenix, a person familiar with the deal said.
The person told The Associated Press about the trade on condition of anonymity Wednesday because it has not been announced pending the completion of some routine logistical matters.
The deal also sends guard Jerome Dyson and retiring center Brad Miller's $5.1 million contract from New Orleans to Minnesota, allowing the Timberwolves to clear space under the NBA's salary cap as they pursue free agents. Minnesota also will receive two second-round draft picks from New Orleans, while the Hornets will receive cash.

Whoaaa unless Robin made some big leaps last year (since I didn't see him much) I'd still take Brook. Sure he can't rebound or play much D but watching Robin try to play offence physically hurts me.

Steve Nash can barely make Robin look good.
