I think it's equally unfortunate they'd have to trade several other guys at below value, too, like Waiters (who actually has some talent when healthy).

If the Cavs assets had some better value, and they could move a few young guys individually or in a package, it would still be an okay situation for Lebron to return too.

Irving, Lebron, - package assets for another 3rd guy.

Keep role players like Jack and Varejao if possible.

But their assets are low right now. Vultures would probably try to pick them clean.

The Cleveland Cavaliers might not offer Kyrie Irving a maximum contract offer because they believe he will not accept, according to a report.

The Cavaliers reportedly do not want to look bad if Irving would decline the deal.

Irving is eligible to sign a new contract with the Cavaliers this offseason.
