Warriors Rumor: E. Gordon to GSW for Klay Thompson?

This would be extremely stupid on GS's part. But then again, NO would have to take another player as well, no?

Eric Gordon has really fallen off the face of the NBA since coming back from injury. He was one of the most promising young SGs and appeared ready to become a star. Now he's just awful and they're ready to get rid of him.

DD has stepped up in his place, it seems.

He averages 17ppg on 13 shots. Hardly awful. His FG% has dropped to 41% but he's still shooting 37 3PT%. IMO if he can stay healthy he's still a borderline star and at some point could be an all-star. But whoever trades for him is taking a risk for sure.

klay is in his second year and is destined to be a great player in this league. gordon is pretty much gordon. no ceiling anymore, what you see is what you get. 19 ppg, undersized 2 with injury probs.
GS would be off their rocker if they dealt Klay. NOH better be sweetening the pot and adding picks.

NBA Trade Rumors: Warriors Gambling for Andrea Bargnani? - Golden Gate Sports - A Bay Area Sports Site - 49ers, Raiders, Giants, A's, Sharks, Warriors, Stanford, Cal

Quote:
Right now, the Warriors, if making any moves, are most likely to go with Eric Gordon, which would force them to move Klay Thompson and Harrison Barnes. No, not a good deal, as I already said. Giving away two future stars for one, injury prone star isn’t a wise move. Now, however, according to the Toronto Sun, the Warriors are showing interest in the Raptors’ Andrea Bargnani.

The Toronto Raptors, who have been playing well as of late, have put Bargnani on the market. No deals, obviously, are official, but the Warriors may be trying to go for Bargnani.

Where will they put him? This deal almost surely involves Carl Landry

Hmm, interesting. I like Carl Landry. I would also part with Ross if they're willing to deal Barnes. lol

PLEASE DON'T MOVE KLAY THOMPSON GSW.

Are they trying to assemble the most fragile backcourt in NBA history with Stephen and Gordon?

If you do move Klay though, please be to TO, i'd be extremely happy

Landry is Boozer with a better salary imo, yes please.

No to the Barnes for Ross swap though, Ross has more upside imo

Barnes is amazing insurance if Gay leaves in a couple years. And i he doesn't, even better.

Lowry
Derozan
Barnes
Gay
Amir/Val

^ Late game lineup? Sexy!!

If we got Landry, he'd likely be the guy in the late game situations instead of Barnes.

Either way, I'd rather keep Ross than Barnes. just IMO

I like Carl Landry too.

My only concern is keeping him past this season. He has a player option this summer. He might exercise it so he can test the market. Landry makes a very modest $4 million. It could be tough to give him the raise he wants because we'd have no birds rights on him due to the nature of his most recent contract. If anyone offered more than the MLE, he could bolt. That would suck.

We see rumors like this, it's like the Warriors have no faith in Stephan Curry. Oap, let's trade our young stud Klay Thompson for a once terrific point guard. Great idea eh?

What? Gordon is a SG, and GSW has all their faith in Steph giving him 40 mil over 4 years to run the show despite his injuries. They see Gordon as a better fit because when healthy Gordon is a much better player than Thompson, but then theyd have the most injury prone backcourt probably ever.

But if Gordon does get healthy, the Warriors will be even more dangerous having another creator off of the dribble and ballhandler to take pressure off of Steph.

Although I like Klay, I dont see him ever becoming a star nor gamechanger. He is what he is, a fantastic spot up shooter who can also shoot a little bit off of the dribble, but his ballhandling is almost as bad as Demars and his decision making is awful off of the dribble.

This is really the wrong, unnecessary move to make though if you're GSW. You already have 2 extremely injury prone guys youre basing your hopes on, now you add a 3rd, just seems like theyre playing russian roulette if this happens.
