Bucks Rumor: Bucks looking to move Sanders for picks

Not surprising....

Quote:
The NBA trade deadline is approaching rapidly, which has teams around the league looking at their rosters and how they can adjust things for the future. For some teams, this means adding a missing piece that will give them a boost down the stretch of the season.

Other teams are looking to provide those pieces in an effort to build for the future, and according FOX Sports reporter Sam Amico, the Milwaukee Bucks are one of the teams looking to sell high to set up a foundation for the future. The player at the center of trade talks out of Milwaukee is Larry Sanders.

The Bucks are still very open to moving center Larry Sanders prior to the Feb. 20 trading deadline, sources said. They would have to take back some salary, but it appears draft picks are their priority.
The main reason that the Bucks apparently want to move Sanders is so they can be in a position to draft Oklahoma State star Marcus Smart. Amico notes that the Bucks are very high on the guard and could use him as the foundation for the future. Itís also noted though by Amico that the Bucks wouldnít mind taking on veterans that help them sneaking into the Eastern Conference playoffs, but any trade that involved Sanders would be a all about draft picks.

OKC, Mavs and Nets could really use him, but they don't really have much to offer in return.

OKC would be favorites for the title if they got Sanders. They should be the team doing whatever it takes to get him. He'd also be awesome in NOH, him and Davis together on defence would be amazing.

Hmm now that I think about it OKC could offer 2014 (1-20 protected) Dallas pick, and their own 2014 1st

It'd be very interesting if OKC would be willing to offer Adams and 1 to 2 first round picks for him.

Hmmm... NOH is still trying to get rid of Gordon too aren't they? Wonder if they would do something like Gordon + picks for Sanders + Mayo (who isn't fitting in in MIL)?

Agreed. Even though Sanders is not playing great, a change of scenery could do wonders for not only him, but the team that gets him.

He's had a bad season sure, but he's fully capable of being a 10+10+3 center. Last season wasn't a fluke. He's a more than capable pick and roll defender, and shot intimidator in the lane, and for teams that get nothing out of their starting centers most of the time(NOH/OKC) he'd propel them at least a few spots in defensive efficiency and rebounding. The fit in OKC couldnt be any better.
