Rudy Gay out for season

Quote:

Things didn’t sound good last Monday when the Hang-Time Grizzlies announced that the results of an MRI on Rudy Gay‘s left shoulder weren’t good enough for him to return to the court. Gay has been out since injuring the shoulder on Feb. 15 (see how it happened above), the Grizzlies’ final game before the All-Star break.
Now comes a report from The Commercial Appeal that Gay will need to have surgery on that shoulder, knocking him out for the rest of the season and, presumably, the playoffs.

looks like san antonio's first round matchup will be made that much easier. a sweep and some rest, while the rest of the conference deals with parity and has to fight out each win.

i wouldn't say a sweep, they still have a chance if nething with allen and sam young (good defensive players) and tony's been proven to be pretty good in the playoffs when it counts.

it'll be interesting, but losing a superstar ain't good for any franchise

DAYAMMMMMN that sucks!
they had a really good chance to upset if gay was ready for the playoffs
but even still, i know they will keep it competitive
i'll be rooting for the grizzle fa shizzles

Damn, he's been out for that long? Didn't even realize. It sucks for their playoff chances, but they still have a pretty decent team. Atleast, they'll see how Mayo does with a lot extra time.

he still doesn't get any significant playing time. they got a log jam at the guard positions

That's screwed up.

Should be

3: Battier, Henry
2: Mayo, Allen and Young with remaining minutes (or Henry)

Mayo's better than all of those wing players.

allen and young are very good defensive guards so i guess thats why the grizz have them ahead of mayo

its just a bad situation for mayo, he would be useful on another team (like ours)

This is honestly the same shit that happened to the bucks b4 enterin the playoffs. They lost their best player just games b4 the playoffs yet they managed to give the hawks a scare in the first round. Who knows maybe the same can happen to San Antonio?
If u look at their current stats, MEmphis is more efficient offensively since losin Gay, but their defense has gotten worse since addin Shane Battier LMAO :roflmao:

Dont know how much it will impact the Griz, but it might help the Suns out a bit
