Real Madrid has made a bigger offer but apparently he prefers to stay in Barcelona. Its sad because he wants to go to the NBA but DKV hasnt accepted Minnesotas offer that reduces the buyout. Nothing has been done yet though, Barcelonas offer is not big enough yet. If he doesnt go to the NBA, at least I ope I can see him in Real coached by Messina. |

![]() Minny made the mistake of drfting 2 PG's, because in doing so - it made rubio expendable.
they should have just drafted Flynn and then Curry or someone. Rubio is gone for sure. |

Look at this way, WHEN, not if, but WHEN he comes to the NBA, he will be Wolves property...I would do the same. |

![]() Drafting both Flynn and Rubio was genius. There is a reason Rubio fell that low in the draft and it had nothing to do with talent or need. Kahn was in the best position to draft Rubio and completely hedge out any of the risk associated wth doing so.
He can trade Flynn once Rubio comes over, or alternatively trade Rubio at a high value once all of the contract/Euro risk is out of the picture. |

![]() I understand the move, and I've said before that I think it's best for Rubio to spend a year or two in Europe to get stronger and more mature... but why the 5-year deal? Why not just sign a 2-year deal? Won't this lead to the exact same scenario that he is in now? I'm sure if Barcelona is agreeing to pay his buyout, they want to see him play for all 5 years.
