Whatever. If Rubio was in this draft class, it would be between him, Irving and Williams.

I wish, it would mean we'd have our pick of Knight and Walker. But if vesely goes 3rd i'll be beyond shocked.

Jazz mull using high Draft pick on a Kirinlenko clone | NBA.com

Utah wants Jimmer with their #12 and considering to take Jan with #3. He is top 6 pick anyways. I don't know why he so hyped, cause he is nothing else than mediocre, but thats how it is.

Make room for the Great white hype. 21 and the guy can't start in Barcelona, he avgs 7 and 3. If Love thinks he going to be the next Johny and Karl with this guy he's wrong. NBA pick n' roll requires the Pg to have the ability to finish either at the basket or with a jump shot, Rubio has never had a jump shot making ability to get to the basket and finish so much more difficult. He is never ever, ever going to be a top 12 pg in the NBA, there is just to much talent in this league.

I said before that if Rubio comes over I expect Minny to take Kanter (I'd be surprised if Kanter doesn't), that is going to be one dynamite team: Kanter, Love, Beasly, Johnson, Rubio...wow.

Williams (Cavs)
Kanter (Minny)
Irving (Utah)
Knight (Cavs)
Leonard (Raps) Bargs, Davis, Leonard, DD, Flynn

Raps could trade Bargs/Leonard/filler for Milicic/Webster/Flynn

Here's the caveat to that, what if the Cavs do draft Irving first forcing Minny to take BPA, that would be Williams.

Irving (Cavs)
Williams (Minny)
Kanter (Utah)
Jonas/Jan but probably BPA Knight (Cavs)
Knight or Leonard (Raps)

If people consider this draft 4 deep then the best way for the Cavs to improve would be to take Williams first however if they aren't happy with Baron then they could feesably go with Irving then Jan or Jonas...most likely Jan for immediacy unless they stash Jonas for a year or two. Makes more sense though to start with Williams. Though either way if minny does get Williams or not with the second, what about trading Bargs/#5/filler for Webster/Flynn/Milicic?

Have a line-up of Milicic/Davis/Webster/DD/Flynn. I actually like that and think it would work very well for both teams.

Rubio had a bad year. I actually can't understand what happened, but he was poor.

However, he was extraordinary all his career and his ceiling is way higher than top 12 pg. In the NBA, on the wider court with more individual defense Rubio will be more comfortable than here in Europe. He can finish and his mid range is more than ok. He is 20 by the way.

And he never had any problems against most talented players.
Look at this. only 7 points and 3 assists, but he made MVP look silly.

Do you even watched him play? What do you expecting to see? He is Rondo type of player. He is not a scorer...

saw wilbon and bill simmons discuss rubio on PTI yesterday....they think he's nothing special. all hype, and even that, most of the hype is gone now too.

i agree with them

i'm rooting for him to do well, because i like his style of play. fundamentally sound to the point of being flashy. i also think it would be pretty exciting to see a top flight European point guard.

that said i'm skeptical he's anything more than hype sauce at this point.

No props from me. I think an NBA season would wear Rubio down. Low tier starter at best.

Kevin love is the greatest player the NBA has ever seen. He will win every major award next season. Every single one. MVP, Most Improved, First Team on both sides. Yet his team, even with Rubio, will be in last place again....hmmmmmm

This is all a conspiracy. Rubio knows there will be no "next season" because of the lockout, so he is just trying to improve his imagine by saying that he agreed to play for Minny.

Minnesota Timberwolves draft pick Ricky Rubio says he is talking with Spanish club Barcelona about his future.

Rubio said "we are talking with Barcelona and we will soon see"
