Rockets Rockets trying to unload Thomas Robinson

Would you be happy if we pursued this?

Quote:
The Houston Rockets are attempting to trade Thomas Robinson in order to create salary cap space in order to pursue Dwight Howard.

The Rockets will accept the best offer to eliminate Robinson's $3.52 million salary for the 13-14 NBA season.

The Rockets would be able to sign Howard to a maximum contract starting at $20.5 million per season.

The Sacramento Kings traded Robinson to the Rockets just a few months after selecting him with the fifth overall pick.

The Rockets are mainly competing with the Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks and possibly the Golden State Warriors to acquire Howard.

I was really endorsing him last year. Burly four with a hot motor, good athleticism, can finish with both hands and has a workable jumper. It didn't surprise me that a rookie floundered on a dysfunctional Kings squad, but now that the Rockets want to dump him, it's concerning. Not ready to write him off, however. We don't even have the capspace to absorb him unless salary is sent back to Houston, which they won't want, correct?

The Raptors have neither cap space nor a trade exception. The only way to do this would be via a 3rd team.

I wouldn't be surprised if Cleveland grabs him by offering a future pick or two. The Cavs have several extra 1st rounders and 2nd rounders at their disposal. That way Morley gets the cap space he needs now, and still has an asset later on.

6'10, 240lbs is not really undersized for a PF these days. I'd take him, he's still on a rookie contract, has some upside at 22yrs old.

You think he's 6'10"? I'd take him, but he's more like 6'8"

He's listed as 6'10'' 237lbs. Oddly, Amir is listed as 6'8'' 210lbs.

Doesn't thomas have a 7'1 wingspan?

DraftExpressProfile: Thomas Robinson, Stats, Comparisons, and Outlook

Basically 6'9. Big wingspan though. Idk if I really want him though. What could we even give up? They want less-no salary coming back.

And I said sarcastically that we need another one.
