Robinson to the Celtics

Quote:
According to multiple sources, the Celtics and Knicks are close to a deal that would bring guard Nate Robinson to the Celts, possibly in exchange for Eddie House.

A league source, as well as a Knicks source, said yesterday that both sides still have interest in the deal that has been discussed in the past month. Two sources in Sacramento, where the Celts played the Kings last night, verified the interest from both sides.

The Celts have narrowed their positional need to a backup point guard who can defend. They have until tomorrow’s trade deadline to fill that need.

Well he already has a year under his belt with D'Antoni from a few years back in Pheonix, but they play a little bit slower than the Suns did. They still like to shoot the three though.

That's right. He did play a season in Phoenix under D'Antoni. Forgot about that. He knows the system. It's run and gun. Mostly gun.
He had one of his better years in the league with D'Antoni.

I hope this goes through. eddie house is my least favourite celtic and I would love to see him on a losing team. This overzealous towel waving prick really gets on my nerves

I always thought that House was a pretty good fit coming off of Boston's bench. Why the hell would anyone want Nate?

horrible move by the Celts IMO... House is a big time shooter who can change the momentum of games. he's been a key player off their bench for the last couple of years, why would they trade him? he's instant offense.

Nate isnt a true 6th man... Nate is a downgrade from House because House fits that Celts system perfectly.

why does everyone think nate will hurt boston?

house is even more of a chucker with far less skill. Do you actually think KG , ray, rondo, and peirce will let him influence them or disrupt the locker room in any sort of way ?

come on guys, he may be the one that re-killed the dunk contest but he's not allen iverson

Nate's got a pretty big ego. And he's just as bad as of a chucker as House. Probably worse. Robinson is a volume shooter. IMO, the C's would be better off keeping House. He knows his role.

you may be right but i look at nate as a real competitor, a warrior. He has a punkish atittude but he's also fearless, the type of player the celtic's lineup is riddled with and in my opinion the reason why they always beat down this raptor's team and its micky mouse team atmosphere.
I see the celts getting another player to go into battle with and i think sheed, Kg, pp, can keep a guy like robisnon in check

I'd prefer they keep house buts thats just me

DONE DEAL!

Quote:
Nate Robinson has reportedly been traded to the Boston Celtics, according to a report from Alan Hahn of Newsday.

The Lakers had also been in talks with New York in regards to Robinson.

Details of the trade are forthcoming.

Makes sense. Robinson has been in D'Antoni's dog house for some time now. If it's indeed House coming to NY, I'm sure D'Antoni will put him to good use.

Wow. As if the Celts weren't hateful enough already lol....

I like the trade for BOS though. Nate has a lot more skill and can fill it up just as quick.

I don't expect him to be a lockerroom problem with vets like KG, Sheed and PP in the house.
