The Cavs still don't have a PG imo. Delonte is not their answer and Wallace will play what position? And Szczerbiak has done nothing of importance since what 2002?

The Cavs are trading to win now but in a year or two time they'll be lucky to be around .500.

Yeah, so here's the breakdown on the big "blockbuster":

The entire trade is as follows:

Sonics receive: Donyell Marshall (Cleveland), Ira Newble (Cleveland), Adrian Griffin (Chicago)

Cleveland receives: Ben Wallace (Chicago), Joe Smith (Chicago), Wally Szczerbiak (Seattle),
Delonte West (Seattle)

Chicago receives: Larry Hughes (Cleveland), Drew Gooden (Cleveland), Cedric Simmons (Cleveland), Shannon Brown (Cleveland), 2009 2nd Round Pick (Cleveland).

Is it just me or did the Sonics end up with a whole lot of garbage?

*CONFIRMED*

Another deal which I'm not sure was mentioned here or not. Mike "Me, me, me" James on the move yet again. What's that, 4 teams in 2.5 years?

The Rockets will also receive rookie guard Adam Haluska and either their own or New Orleans' second-round pick, whichever is greater.

Memphis will receive forward Marcus Vinicius.

Good moves by Cavs. I think they got some decent players for Gooden + Hughes + crap. Im not crazy bout Wallace, but Joe Smith has been having a good year. They will have a lot of big guys to work with. Delonte West is not exceptional but he's a decent pickup for PG. I'm surprised they were able to keep Boobie after all the dust has settled.

As for the N.O. trade, I just don't know why Houston would make this trade. I thought they wanted to keep Bonzi and that Bobby Jackson is past his prime.

CLE doesnt need a pg. They just need a guy to bring it up and pass to Lebron and hit corner shots and now they have 3 of them in Jones, Gibson and Delonte. Hopefully having Wallace on the floor destroys the space Lebron has and they struggle on offence.

i actually like the deal if i'm a cavs fan.
they get a great shooter and second option in wally...
they get a rebounder with decent D in Wallace...
and get a young decent PG in west.
they give away a piece of crap overpaid tweener in hughes.
they give up an overachieving rebounder in gooden.

its good because wallace wont need any touches, and wally can move well off screens and such for easy baskets..
they got players who suit the cavs style: "let lebron do all the work".

If wallace can find his mojo and realizes he has a real shot at going deep and also a real shot at being viewed upon as a has been if he doesnt perform here, he brings better then decent D, he brings some of the best D in the game. Just will he, he if does, and i think he will, this makes Cleveland very dangerous, and i do like wally popping 3s and i think ppl are overlooking Smiths experience he can hit some big shots aswell and i think Delonte will be serviceable at the point
