Obviously the deal would have to be Boozer+ for Gasol, which would be a pretty reasonable deal (depending on the + of course).

I can't see the Lakers taking on Boozer..... but I'd love to see Pau go to CHI. He'd give them a legit shot at a title IMO (if Rose comes back 100%).

deng, gibson and a pick or two + filler (butler/lucas?) for gasol.

la moves artest to pf, with gibson as the 3rd big. gets a solid wing defender.

bulls roll with gasol and noah, and have boozer as the 3rd big for scoring.

probably not a good enough deal for the lakers, but if gasol forces their hand, this isn't a bad return (better than boozer and filler). would chicago do it? they would need to start korver or brewer, but would have a dominant front court. would be shitty until rose returns, but that's going to happen anyways...

Theres no way CHI would give up Deng and Gibson for Gasol. Gasols value is at an all time low. The only thing theyd give up for him is Boozer, and maybe Gibson+parts. Deng and Noah would be off the table in a deal for Gasol. CHI/LAL would never be compatible in a trade,

I dont see them moving deng either... the dude made the allstar game, and is one of the best defenders in his position, not worth it.

I'd even start gibson at 4 and have artest coming off the bench. With deng coming in and starting I don't think the offense from the 4 spot is as big a deal as it was with artest starting. Gibson can still step out and knock down the mid-range jumper pretty effectively, not to mention his tenacity on defense and the boards would be good for lLA to have next to Bynum.

Deng is just too important to Chicago.

Guys an amazing all around player. They need him more than they need Gasol IMO.

Gasol is like the new Lamar Odom in L.A., except I don't think Pau will start making a horrible Reality TV show with his chubby, rich wife, then come back next year and lay a serious egg on the court.

I'm not sure what you're talking about Thriller, Gasol has way more value than what you're implying here - he still produced 17.4ppg /10.4rpg /3.6apg /1.4bpg for the season. He just can't be aggressive enough with Bynum in the post. IMO the Lakers were much more fluid when Bynum was hurt and winning 2 championships without him. Coincidentally, now that Bynum is healthy and becoming an egomaniac the last 2 years, Gasol has struggled to assert himself - also doesn't help when he doesn't feel wanted.

i still think gasol has a lot to offer but i also don't believe chi would do deng + gibson.
