Randolph on the block

Quote:

For two seasons, the Warriors have had an odd time with Anthony Randolph(notes). Sometimes, theyre in love with his sheer athletic ability in that 7-foot frame and considered him untouchable. As a rookie, they dangled him in deals, too. Well, its happening again. Several NBA teams say Golden State officials have offered Randolph in trade discussions, but as one Eastern Conference executive said: I think all of their roster could be had.

Says one Western official: The Warriors are willing to do anything and everything.

He hasnt even had a real chance to play consistant minutes. Him and Morrow are going to be very nice players, they just need the PT.

Get it done Colangelo. :)

Snooch 12-15-2009 09:26 AM

If there is any thought of Bosh going, Randolph had better be acquired.

AGREED!

Randolph is going to be a beast. Like Thriller said, the kid just needs the PT. I'm surprised that Nellie isn't giving him many minutes. If Bosh is going to GSW, we'd need Biedrins, Randolph and a throw in scrub to make things work.

jeffb 12-15-2009 10:53 AM

Well if their whole roster could had, we need to get Morrow/Randolph and maybe even Ellis.

That team has very good young talent, but as i and many have said Nelson has no patience with young players. It's funny that this team has been rebuilding for a couple years now and they're not gonna make the playoffs for awhile, so why not play your young talented players consistantly 30+MPG and developpe them?

If Bosh wants to go:

Miami gets
Bosh (S&T max$$)

GS gets
JO (huge expiring)

Raptors get
Biedrins
Eliis
Randolph

Don't know if the $$ works out but it would be about right i believe. GS gets 23Mil in capspace, Miami gets Bosh to play with Wade, We get a rebounding Centre and a very good young Forward and PG. We'd then have to move Calderon.

jeffb 12-15-2009 10:58 AM

Derozan

for

Morrow

;)

Acie 12-15-2009 11:18 AM

So we trade Bosh for a guy who could possibly turn into Bosh?

Awesome. :sigh:

Well you're not gonna trade Bosh for a better version of him. And if you trade Bosh for a wing or two then you've gotta fill the PF or C position with a good young talent, no? And if you get Biedrins in a deal along with Randolph your bigs would be:

Bargs/Randlph/Beidrins/Amir/Evans/Rasho

Bmats7 12-15-2009 11:27 AM

I've watched 6 GS games this year, and this Randolph guy is streaky (and he got his minutes too).

He's a mix of POB and Zach Randolph. Besides, Bosh would not want to play in GS. I'll tell you who would work great with their all offence style though... Bargnani.

Nelson could try to turn him into the next Dirk.

RAPMAN 12-15-2009 11:30 AM

The Next Chris Bosh is Available!!

I have watched alot Warrior's games this year. Anthony Randolph has the skills and athleticsm to be the next Chris Bosh. If the Raptors want some young players (Randolph & Derozan) to build their future around, they should give a call to the Warriors:

"Several NBA teams say Golden State officials have offered Randolph in trade discussions, but as one Eastern Conference executive said: I think all of their roster could be had. Says one Western official: The Warriors are willing to do anything and everything.

Yeah, I could see the Warriors all over Bargs. But really, is Colangelo going to deal his #1 pick? Can't see it happening. Biedrins and Bosh in the front court would be beautiful though. :sigh:

Can you imagine:

Bosh/Randolph/Johnson
Biedrins/Johnson/Rasho

RAPMAN 12-15-2009 11:40 AM

I would trade Amir Johnson & Sonny Weems for Anthony Randolph. Anthony Randolph is a special player.

you think we'll get lucky twice with GS?

INSIDER 12-15-2009 11:42 AM

i know i'll be in the minority here, but randolph's potential is overrated in my opinion.
the kid has been getting a lot of minutes over the last little while, and while he's putting up decent numbers - a few things are evident: he's not a great rebounder, and he loves shooting.
another 7 footer who isnt strong enough to play Center, loves shooting, and isnt a great rebounder.... um, i'll pass, we already have one of those - and ours is much better.

If Bosh was traded for those players it would have to be a 3 team deal, you're right he wouldn't go to GS.
