Ramon Sessions opting out

Quote:

Point guard Ramon Sessions will not exercise a player option to stay with the Lakers and will become a free agent, The Times has learned.

Let's get him. Trade a pick? Sign and trade? Would be a good fit here on the Raps no?

Huh huh huh ?!?!?!?!?!?!?

:cookie: I'm in a mood

That being said, I think he would be a good fit here ;)

I agree with you, I see him on par with lowry, dragic, etc. well slightly higher than dragic, and has playoff experience, more so than the other two, to boot. I'd give him 6-7 mil a year.

Sign and trade bayless for sessions!

Just like the Doc said!

He is neither better than Dragic or worth 6-7 million a year. He's a lower rung starter or a great back up. The guy couldn't even get on the court when the Lakers were desperate for guard help in the playoffs.

I'd say Bayless is better than sessions.

Well dragic is going to get 6-8 million, depending on the team, So I can definitely see him going for 6-7 million. Like it or not, he's more proven than dragic, and people pay more for something tangible (well kinda) as opposed to potential.

Sessions is nice, loved him in Milwaukee making assist records.
Can't understand why he is ditching Lakers, are they blowing up?

Did I miss when Sessions proved something? I don't understand what proven tangible player you're talking about, but it can't be Mr. Can't hold a starting gig.

he's leaving 4.5 mill on the table. no one wants to play with kobe LOL!

are you seriously going to knock a pg who didn't exceed while playing beside two of the game's most ball controlling players in lebron and kobe? Lebron is a point forward, hell, he's more of a magic johnson pg than he is a SF. Kobe well, the meme's tell you how often other players have the ball in L.A..

he's quick, can defend, is somewhat young, and has a nice shot. Same with dragic, except dragic has started what, 20 games in his career?

Why do people knock bargs for only doing well in 13 games, then when coming back from 2 serious injuries not doing as well as he was, but not consider that dragic only performed starting in few games?

Doesn't it sound oddly similar to JB? I know their games aren't the closest, but the amount of starters minutes you've seen both play/impress in is scarily close. Why sign dragic for 6-8 million, when you can have bayless for less?

sessions is more of a proven starter than both of them, hence less of a risk.

Fisher is still > Sessions

Having Fish instead of Sess (probably the worst performer in the OKC/LAL series) would of made a big difference.

if you want experience and leadership in a magloire type role with a bit more minutes, then sure. but in terms of skill? not even close.

Seriously did you even watched Dragic playing? JB is terrible at running point..

He's an average offensive player. Good on pick and roll, not a good shooter barring a short stretch this season after the trade. He is an ATROCIOUS defender. Your credibility flew out the window with that comment.

I said CAN defend, if JC can defend in casey's system, so can sessions.

and according to the bolded logic, dragic isn't a good starter barring a good stretch this year.. HA!

LET'S GO RAPTORS!!!!! 06-21-2012 12:15 AM

Sessions is ok

rapsmannn 06-21-2012 02:38 AM

sessions is terrible lakers should be glad he opted out, bayless is better than sessions one thing for sure he wouldn't let westbrook own him in the playoffs the way he did, he would fight back
