Default Potential Bobcats-Clippers Trade

Quote:
Jordan is considering a trade proposal that would send Augustin, DeSagana Diop(notes) and Matt Carroll(notes) to the Los Angeles Clippers for Davis, a league source told Yahoo! Sports.

The Clippers have desperately tried to trade Davis and have included him in proposals with center Chris Kaman(notes), league executives told Yahoo! Sports. Brown could’ve never coached Davis, but Silas allows a different freedom for his players.

Augustin would fit right in with the Clippers.

Trading Augustine for Baron? .......

He wouldn't have Carroll's ass contract if he did the Jose trade instead of Damp.

League sources told FanHouse that the Bobcats and Portland have discussed a trade that would send beloved small forward Gerald Wallace to the Blazers with center DeSagana Diop and point guard D.J. Augustin in exchange for center Marcus Camby and point guard Andre Miller. And while the Blazers are exploring a litany of their own options and don't appear eager to do the deal as of now, the discussion that is one of many being had by the Bobcats reveals plenty about the sort of the on-court changes Jordan has in mind for his club.

Go from being a temporary below average team to a permanent below average team. Way to go MJ.

Man, the NBA greats like Isiah Thomas and Jordan (and NHL, Wayne Gretzky) need to stay out of coaching and management. I hope when Kobe is done, he finds something else to do.
Just open some restaurants like Magic and watch the cash flow in. You just end up tarnishing your image.

Wallace/Augustin/Diop for Camby and Miller?

Well maybe not a facepalm, but Portland wins that trade easily. Wallace is still in the prime of his career and he was an all-star last year. Augustin can still be a nice point guard in this league, or a good backup atleast, he's young too.

Magic Johnson is into everything, Restaurants, movie theaters, Partnering with Janet Jackson to buy stake in a bank. He's done it right. Mind you, some ex players might be great as coaches. One can never tell.

MJ is an idiot if he does that trade. Baron Davis? Really? They need to rebuild, not put together final pieces for a championship.

Yeah, as a part owner. But he's not the GM or coach. Smart move by him imo.

Baron Davis is not a final piece for any championship. He's a fat overpriced PG.
