Posey agrees to four-year deal with Hornets

James Posey, arguably the most coveted unrestricted free agent left on the market, agreed to a four-year deal with the New Orleans Hornets on Wednesday worth an estimated $25 million, his agent, Mark Bartelstein, said.

Ah well, I didn't think we stood a fighting chance anyways.

I'm very glad to see him going there. This puts the Hornets over the top, keeping the Lakers away from another title, and making Boston quite a bit weaker.

Who will KG hug pre-game?

Almost spit out my beverage just now.

Well played sir, very well played.

This deal is just great from both sides I would say. Peja is nice, but at this point in his career I think I could blow by him on the perimeter.

With Posey though, that's a real nice one two punch that can be used to deal with different types of matchups.

I wouldnt be surprised if the Celts picked up Childress now if hes willing to go to a place for less to win which I think he is from what I've seen and heard about him. Hes one of the better glue players off the bench in the NBA and would replace Posey fine because hes actually a better rebounder than Posey and just as good defensively.

Man, I'd love Childress here. I'd put him in the 2-spot right away. He attacks the rim, shoots a very high percentage and plays solid D.

Anyways, solid signing by the Ho-nets. That team is looking better and better. CP3, Chandler, West, Posey, MoPete, Wright, Peja. Niceness.

This move will likely bump Mo back to the bench too. Scott will bump Peja to SG and Posey I'll bet you anything will be their starting SF next season. Mo won't be happy. Nor will Benzo.
