Blazers Portland Looking To Include Oden In Trade Talks

The Trail Blazers are pushing former No. 1 overall pick Greg Oden in trade talks, according to sources.

"Sources say Portland is pushing Greg Oden in trade talks. Oden's injury history, predictably, has GM's reluctant," Sports Illustrated's Chris Mannix wrote on his Twitter page.

I would take him for dirt cheap only. I mean how many more injuries could he possibly have?

Greg Oden is a beast. Granted, with the durability of a 6 year old, but still he is an above-average center in this league when he's on the court. BC has been taking flyers on a lot of players lately, why take one on Oden.

Do you guys think Portland would think about an Oden for Barbosa deal?

Fuck that! We can get better for Barbosa. The last thing this team needs is another big with knee issues.

I think it would be a perfect fit. Barbosa isn't going to help us very much since we are rebuilding, so why not send him to Portland to help with their playoff push.

And for us its a pretty low risk deal. If he doesn't work out, oh well. But if he does, BC look likes a God.

You don't think we can get something better then a broken down 50yr old for Barbosa? The only things i would want to give them is a 2nd rounder + Weems. And even then it's a little much.

Would do you think Barbosa could fetch us? Wilt Chamberlain?

I'd think Oden would be a pretty good haul for Barbosa, since we don't really need him anyway.

So a player that's an eyelash away from retiring is a good haul for Barbosa? I highly doubt it. BTW, Chamberlain is retired.

How many more years does he have on his contract? If it's expiring get er' done. Don't think it is though, nobody has said anything about it.

He's essentially an expiring. Next season is a Qualifying offer of 8.7Mil.

Well its a gamble but worth a shot. If he can find a way to stay healthy you win.

I mean what do we got to lose?
