No, i don't believe Sloan has ever won a COY award. You're not losing it.

the "COY" award should be renamed to the Jerry Sloan award

I thought he was like Sloan and had not won it. I guess because he's had so many years where he should have won it.

Well deserved. If you think about it he should have had at least 5-6 of these COY awards by now. They usually only give it out to the most improved coach.

i like sloan as much as the next person, but a tough mentality shouldn't win you coach of the year. i don't wanna look back 20 years, but i don't think i've ever really disagreed too much with who won the award. yes, there's always an argument for someone else (pop only winning his second, jackson only winning one) but sloan not winning the award isn't a crime.

Spurs shot more efficiently on their first possession out of a time out (47%) than any other team in the NBA this season.

Well deserved... always like a coach who can adapt to the players he's given rather than being hard-headed and sticking to a certain system which doesn't fit the players he's given.
