Pistons Waive Flynn, Terrence Williams

Both players were lottery picks in the 2009 NBA Draft.

I think Flynn played pretty good against us. He seemed invisible on defense...
Is he really that bad?

MrClutch 10-23-2012 09:00 AM

i dont think pistons have room for him with stuckey, knight and bynum playing pg

Superjudge 10-23-2012 12:42 PM

Terrence Williams.......wow.

edki 10-23-2012 12:44 PM

Rockets should sign Flynn. If Lin goes down they basically depend on rookie and Shawn Livingston to run there PG position. I doubt K Martin will be effective in this position.

I've always wondered what is up with that guy. He has some skills. It must be a comination of or one of - work ethic, mentality, motor, etc.

From what I rmb Terence Williams was a headcase , and after Flynns rookie season it seems that he hasnt been consistent anymore. Sorta similar to Tyreke Evans disappointment too. But Im sure some team will pick these guys up soon

Toby 10-24-2012 06:05 AM

It's not that they're that bad. It's just the Pistons are that bad, and they need to cut as much change off their payroll as they possibly can. There's cheaper players who won't get to play out there.

according to my friend flynn was horrible when he was at the rockets last season, not sure they'd be desperate to have him back.

according to my friend Lin was horrible when he was a Rocket too...:mischief:
now seriously, they need to add another PG... why not Flynn for the min contract?

Stonezz 10-24-2012 12:40 PM

Flynn, what a bust. T-Will is an athletic freak but can't put it together. Both will be outta the league soon.

jeffb 10-24-2012 01:02 PM

I remember when Minnesota picked back to back PG's @ #5, #6 (Rubio, Flynn). And passed on Curry, J. Holiday, Jennings, Derozan and Lawson to take Flynn.

i think these guys need to go the gerald green root and hone their skills overseas and come back 2-3 yrs from now

Claudius 10-24-2012 01:53 PM

Flynn was a really good college player. I think he came into the league in the wrong situation with Minnesota and it screwed up his career.

He came in knowing that the bigger buzz around the other PG they drafted (Rubio) and that the team was really waiting for him instead of trying to let Flynn develop.

do not understand this sentence!? think i was making it up?

i have a mate who is a passionate rockets fan, watched every game of theirs last season, said flynn was horrible.

lin was neither horrible nor a rocket last season so i'm finding it hard to take anything from your comment.

flynn on a min contract is not a terrible idea was just saying since the rockets have already had a good look at him and he was not good, i'm doubtful they'll get him back there.

Luckedout 10-24-2012 04:14 PM

i think he was just referring to how Lin didnt play well as a rocket but they're still bringing him back and paying huge dollars to do so...

right, ok.

but flynn has never put up anything close to the numbers lin has, obviously. I mean, lin may not have impressed at houston but he never even played for them!? and it was a while ago now whereas flynn played for houston a few months ago!

sorry, not seeing a point there.

i think youre looking too much into it. it looked like it was a simple joke about houston going back and getting another pg they let go.

Dario 10-24-2012 09:34 PM

i would take a chance on Twill, isnt he weems 2.0?

it was a joke. LKeet6, i didn't mean to question authentity of your source

I admit I didn't follow Flyn's career in MIN and HOU. so I don't know how bad he was playing. is it motivation or skills? scouts usually don't gamble on guards, he must have game in him

ok, cool. Sarcasm and joking can be hard to pick up when it's written not spoken! no biggie.
