Default Pick a Prospect

With all the exciting, young players that have a bright future in this league, I wanted to play a game where we could pretend to have the opportunity to add one to our franchise. Particularly, ones that have a similar role or style of play. You can reply to someone else's question or make your own.

Ill go first:

Kawhi Leonard or Jimmy Butler?

Both good defensive players with developing offensive games. I would pick Leonard since he seems to be the more versatile of the two and appears to have the better motor.

Interesting question.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist or Harrison Barnes?

Barnes is better all around player, but MKG could be deadly if the jumper develops.

That's a good one. Both have been impressive on the defensive end. Barnes shows a better offensive game, however, while MKG has impressed with his rebounding and motor. I'd take Kidd-Gilchrist since he's younger and has shown a sense of hunger and leadership that are hard to find in young players.

Barnes. I really don't see MKG's jumper developing THAT much...it's pretty shitty right now. Meanwhile Barnes is a decent shooter with athletic tools that match (if not surpass) those of MKG.

I would take Bradley. He seems more under control and has shown a better jumper.

As for Ed and Tristan, iudnno that's a tough one since Ed hasn't really gotten much opportunity in Memphis even though he was breaking out before.

Barnes will better than MKG, simply because Jordan drafted MKG. He is cursed.

Easy.. Irving is wayyy better!

Waiters or Beal

It would be a tough one imo, but I would go with Beal. I love his game, Waiters have more star potential though...

Leonard, MKG, Bradley, Irving, Beal.

Kenneth Faried or John Henson?

I'd pick Henson, I think there's more upside.

Close one. Both players have similar weaknesses/strengths. Ed has shown that he can play well if given minutes. Thompson has been getting regular minutes, and is killing it- averaging close to a double-double.

If I have to choose one, probably Thompson. He's slightly younger than Ed, so he has more room for improvement.

Yes, Parsons stats might be inflated because of HOU's pace.

On the other hand, Leonard is playing under pretty much the best coach and the best system in the league which hides a lot of his weaknesses. Pop is a master at hiding players weaknesses and playing to their strengths.

I think that Parsons could do what Kawhi is doing in SAS. But I don't think Kawhi could do what Parsons is doing in HOU. Of course that is just a speculation..

All in all, I think they are pretty close and both pretty intriguing (and often overlooked) prospects.
