Yes, Parsons stats might be inflated because of HOU's pace.

On the other hand, Leonard is playing under pretty much the best coach and the best system in the league which hides a lot of his weaknesses. Pop is a master at hiding players weaknesses and playing to their strengths.

I think that Parsons could do what Kawhi is doing in SAS. But I don't think Kawhi could do what Parsons is doing in HOU. Of course that is just a speculation..

All in all, I think they are pretty close and both pretty intriguing (and often overlooked) prospects.
Kawhi is much younger, longer and a much better defender. Offensively, probably a slight edge to Parsons but it's comparable.

True, Kawhi is much younger. He has a ridic wingspan, but Parsons still has a couple inches on him which cancels it out. Maybe still slight edge for Leonard. I would say that offensively they are comparable only because of how good the Spurs system is, but that's just my opinion.

You have to remember though, that Parsons makes LESS than a $1M per year. And he will also make less than $1M next year. Which is pretty incredible for a guy who averages close to 16pts/5.5reb/3.5asst per game :O

Kawhi or Thompson? That's a tougher debate.

Also, Barnes is going to be better than Rudy Gay... that's a coin flip!

Don't think that Thompson is that much better than DD. But he would be a better fit for Raps

Call me crazy, but it's nice for guards to have ball handling skills. Both Kawhi and Thompson have them. It also helps that Thompson can shoot the lights out and Kawhi is a physical freak and he uses it on both sides of the ball.

I was kidding. I'd take Leonard & Thompson over Derozan. But to say Barnes will be better than Gay is extremely premature. He'd have to be an all-star to be better and that remains to be seen.

Agreed... I knew you were kidding, but you're right about Gay and Barnes.... but I did say it was a coin flip! lol

It's just nice to see young players fit in so well and bring so much energy to a team in heated playoff basketball. GSW is super fun to watch. SAS has also really transitioned nicely to feature their young players. Just makes you think that something is severely lacking here. Maybe it's just coaching, maybe it's talent, but I'm inclined to think it's both.

A big part of it is coaching imo. This organization hasn't hired an experienced NBA tested head coach since Lenny Wilkens in 2000. I said this when BC hired Triano. This team needs a hard ass coach imo. Casey has a lot of experience as an assistant/defensive specialist, but very little as a HC and i don't think he's the right guy long term.

I didn't say it's out of the question. Imo Lillard is/will be a better player, but that just opinion not a fact

JV is still a prospect, Lillard is already proven player. i don't think it's that easy, if you would ask this question to someone who isn't a raptor fan, good chance they would pick Lillard

not sure I agree with that. GM's fall in love with size, especially talented size with great upside. I like Lillard, but JV has huge value and he had a very good finish to the season as well. To suggest Lillard is all that much more proven is a tad premature. Beating out other rookies is just that, it isn't necessarily a precursor to greater things. Lillard can be better, but so can JV, and both had solid seasons.

are you guys being serious?

Lillard is already a star PG. JV is a blundering young big. How do you look at this and not see that?

Homer glasses to the ninth degree man. Just brutal.
