bull. garbage trade for LA. no way they put this much faith in andrew bynum staying healthy.

Snooch 06-19-2011 05:04 PM

Doubt it as well. Unless the 2 is included then maybe.

Blake
Kobe
Williams
Love
Bynum

But team needs to make a play for Howard, 3 way deal maybe?

Minny in
Pau

Orlando in
#2, Bynum, Ebanks, LAL 1st, filler

Lakers in
Love and Howard.

I think you mean garbage trade for Minny. Look at the age difference, the contracts and the difference in toughness.

Bad trade for both teams. Lakers wouldn't be serious contenders if they traded Gasol for Love straight up.

not a bad deal if the contracts work. however not sure how much orlando would want bynum seeing as he has injury problems.

Kevin Love is not as good as Pau.... end of story. It's not even close. Pau can play both frontcourt positions seamlessly, while much of Love's value comes from his determination. You don't trade talent for effort unless you're talking about role players.

the only reason you'd do it if you're LA is if there's a rebounding issue...and there isn't, not at all. major downgrade on defense and offense.

You think Love doesn't have talent? Pau is for sure more talented...but Love doesnt JUST get by with effort. 31 and 31. Not that it means anything, but if I was starting a franchise I would take Love over Pau anyday. Pau's at the end of his prime, while Love isn't even close to his.

hes pretty much david lee of the knicks, the dude is 6'9, if pau and bynum who are both lengthy athletic dudes get manhandled by dirk this post-season, then why would you think kevin love would stand a chance?

It's not that Love isn't talented, it's just that he's not nearly as good as Pau. Also, Pau still has several years left, he doesn't look broken down in the slightest. Love is being overvalued by many. His defence isn't close to Pau's and he isn't capable of playing C either. You may take Love over Pau, but this trade would take LA further away from a title.

That's a very good comparison. Another guy is Elton Brand.

Can anyone explain to me why Minesota would do this?
