Not sure WTF is going on, but this wouldn't be surprising.....

It seems we'll soon be getting news that Gasol has been traded. No details confirmed, but he's apparently gone.

Ric Bucher was on KNBR (bay area radio) this morning and said he was hearing rumblings of Pau, Artest and a 1st to GSW for Curry, Wright, Andris and Lee.

take it for what you will.

Longtime basketball writer Roland Lazenby reports that Pau Gasol has been traded, but Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports refutes the report.
Lazenby offered no details on where he is going or for whom Gasol has been traded for, but is reporting that more information will be given shortly. Wojnaroski has said that while Houston has been close in pulling off a deal, there is nothing imminent. Stay tuned.

not bad at all...kobe can make that work

INSIDER 03-09-2012 04:58 PM

if that GS deal goes down, LA would automatically jump into the favorites... over Miami IMO.

Yeah.......no

OKC is still better than LAL and Miami probably beats them.

Bynum and/or Curry get injured their fucked and they have no bench.

Dario 03-09-2012 05:20 PM

Not happening, just rumors. GSW would be getting ripped off.

Obviously they should. But i don't think it makes them favourites to win the Championship. But it would put them back into the conversation. Curry & Kobe in the backcourt would be sexy!

They definitely would have a shot to be a champions if they stay healthy, but yea i wouldn't go so far saying that they would be favorites.

jumplvlan23 03-09-2012 05:38 PM

You can't name 5 teams better than the Lakers if that GS deal were to go down.

Agreed. They'd have a nice starting 5 but they'd still need time to gel together. MIA and OKC (and SA and CHI) have a leg up on them in that regard.

JDMtors 03-09-2012 06:52 PM

A healthy Curry is going to make the Lakers dangerous. Curry, Bryant and Bynum is going to be a pretty killer combo. 2 Guards who are capable of making their own shot easily. Wished the Raptors would of attempted to get curry though

The Chicago Bulls are exploring avenues to acquire Los Angeles Lakers forward Pau Gasol before Thursday's trade deadline, according to sources close to the situation.

The Bulls have long hoped to wedge themselves into the trade running for Orlando Magic star Dwight Howard, but sources told ESPN.com that Howard's well-chronicled lack of interest in a trade to Chicago has prompted the Bulls to switch their focus to Gasol in advance of Thursday's 3 p.m. ET deadline.

Sources say that the Lakers, however, have limited interest in the players Chicago would be offering, starting with Bulls forward Carlos Boozer.

So the Bulls would have to recruit at least one more team to the discussions to have any shot at Gasol, sources said, with the Lakers known to be insistent on getting back at least one certifiable star if they consent to trade the Spaniard.

Sources say that the Lakers, furthermore, are talking to other teams about Gasol in advance.
