Orlando Magic well on their way to another Finals appearance?

After completing preseason as the only team to go undefeated with a record of 8-0 (although not saying too much), the Orlando Magic enter the '09-'10 season with supreme expectations.

Orlando is gonna be a MONSTER this year, like how the Celts were 2 seasons ago. Anything but a return to the finals will be viewed as a disappointment. Personally, I think they will take it all this year.

I think that people don't give Orlando a lot of credit! They blow out every team in the preseason. Their bench is deep, they have a great big man and they have a great shooting guard. All the ingredients for the championship are there. They will definitely go far!

Orlando is much better and more complete than both Cleveland and Boston. They added carter, nelson is back, got bass and picked up matt Barnes. They did lose Turk but Carter will easily pick up the slack. They are more complete than both teams and as we know the most complete teams usually win rings. The only thing is, IMO Lakers also got better. I think Lakers might take that series in 7.

I actually haven't had the chance to watch them, but they have been putting up some impressive numbers. I cheered for Orlando in the playoffs so I'm curious to see how they'll do

Orlando has top 3 depth in the league with Ryan Anderson being their 5th big which is amazing in itself. Their main problem is they dont match up well with the Celtics, but that will change if Dwight steps his game up. Versus the other teams they have a distinct advantage somewhere, vs the Celtics not so much.

The only question that ORL will have to answer is in regards to their mental toughness.

Teams like LAL, SA and BOS have them beat in that area IMO.... and they'll likely have to beat 2 of those 3 teams to win the title.

I still say a healthy Boston is the team to beat. Dwight is still too raw in the post (wondering if that will ever change) and a raw post game ain't gonna cut it with KG, Sheed and Perkins running your shit down low.

Well, Howard is only getting better. Thier PG is healthy this year. They traded a stiff for Vince Carter, so yeah, I think it's safe to say Mr. Van Gundy hs himself a nice hand to play this year.

I agree with others. I like ORL's team [Van Gundy will get the best out of Vince], but I'm not sure how they will answer during the playoffs when the intensity picksup/the need for mental toughness is increased.

heh, some of you guys sound like you're on the wrong forum. I was checking out an Orlando site and you wouldn't believe the hate for a guy (Turk) that helped them get to the Finals last year.

Not to mention all the man-love going on there for VC.

By the way, we are being watched:

fck the Magic...their franchise player can't hit a free throw to save his life ...atleast last year in the finals...someone make a gif of Dwight missing 2 consecutive free throws in the finals last year, and then Fisher hitting the 3 to take the game to OT and mass post that on the forum

You mean just like this board has man-love for Turk, and hate for VC. Jeez, who'd of thunk a board would cheer for their own player, and have hate for an ex-player. Of course that would never happen here.
