Solid pick up. Dallas making some good moves after losing out on Deron/Dwight/Nash and having Terry/Kidd leave. Got Kaman, Brand, Collison, Dahntay Jones, OJ Mayo. Still got Dirk/Marion/Carter. Not bad.

Seriously. No one wants to play here. Sometimes even money isn't enough to entice players to sign with us (see: Steve Nash).

You don't know that he wanted to go to Dallas. Mayo has been waiting around for a good monetary offer, which we could have made if we didn't sign Fields. This is actually a sitation where we stood a chance to land him if we offered the Fields money + some of the space created by ditching JJ. But with DD and Ross at the 2 spot it wouldn't make much sense to go after Mayo unless we could have worked out a trade for DD.

Good move for Dallas...I wonder if they still have interest and cap space for Calderon.

I was kinda of hoping Mayo went to the Lakers but I guess after they committed to Jamison, they didn't have much money to sign Mayo.

Bollocks. Money talks, make deals baby! He didn't want to go to Dallas last week, he was practically begging us to make him an offer he would refuse to deny even if it was completely unbelievable beyond any doubt!

We can't be walking around on eggshells hoping these american-born players will come to us when they're ready when they might not even realize Toronto is still in the league. You gotta show up with fists full of money and make it rain! Hell bring along a few peeler broads and make it a party!

It's too damn easy I'm sick of it! Landry freakin Fields.... Come on Colangelo, I've laid out the blueprint that even a cranky old bastard can't ignore!

Dallas doesn't rebuild, they reload

Darren Collison/Beaubois
OJ Mayo/Vince/Dahntay Jones/Jared Cunningham/Dominique Jones
Matrix
Dirk/Elton Brand
Chris Kaman/Brandan Wright?

they need to trade one of their SG's and get a starting PG or a SF and they are set

Kirby, Kirby, Kirby...you silly goose. "stinks"? Really? He's a good player when given starter minutes. A career .375 shooter from 3 on a large sample of attempts. His playmaking ability could be a bit better, but he does not "stink". He's been underutilized in Memphis the past couple of years.

Do you monkeys really think that Toronto management wouldnt inquire about Mayo if they wanted him.

Do you actually think this shit through before you type? I'm just asking, because to be honest, it's no wonder Amuuuricans thin Toronto fans are morons if this is th level of thought we pt into out idea's.

Leeme see....

Player signs with another team....er.....Bryan Colangelo should be fired.

Are you still complaining about my post? hahaha.... come on man, chill. Of course it's not that easy, but I've just seen too many nice guys brought here and need a little something extra at the SF spot..... it's not Mayo, but it's definitely not Fields either. Stop being cranky and make it rain!

He's an under-sized shooting guard who is underutilized for a reason.
He's innefficient a lot of the times at what he does best, score. He really stinks at everything else. There are reasons why Memphis gave up on him.

Maybe I'm just not a fan of tweener combo guards who chuck shots at 40% a clip and can do almost nothing else.

The tweener tag is being tossed around too easily.
