Solid pick up. Dallas making some good moves after losing out on Deron/Dwight/Nash and having Terry/Kidd leave. Got Kaman, Brand, Collison, Dahntay Jones, OJ Mayo. Still got Dirk/Marion/Carter. Not bad.

You don't know that he wanted to go to Dallas. Mayo has been waiting around for a good monetary offer, which we could have made if we didn't sign Fields. This is actually a sitation where we stood a chance to land him if we offered the Fields money + some of the space created by ditching JJ. But with DD and Ross at the 2 spot it wouldn't make much sense to go after Mayo unless we could have worked out a trade for DD.

Good move for Dallas...I wonder if they still have interest and cap space for Calderon.

I was kinda of hoping Mayo went to the Lakers but I guess after they committed to Jamison,they didn't have much money to sign Mayo.

Kirby, Kirby, Kirby...you silly goose. "stinks"? Really? He's a good player when given starter minutes. A career .375 shooter from 3 on a large sample of attempts. His playmaking ability could be a bit better, but he does not "stink". He's been underutilized in Memphis the past couple of years.

He's an under-sized shooting guard who is underutilized for a reason.
He's innefficient a lot of the times at what he does best, score. He really stinks at everything else. There are reasons why Memphis gave up on him.

Maybe I'm just not a fan of tweener combo guards who chuck shots at 40% a clip and can do almost nothing else.
