BC PLEASE GET ON THIS NOW!!!

iamagm.com is saying the NETS are offering their FIRST round pick for someone to take Johan Petro off their books. Not sure how credible it is but if it holds ANY truth.. Raptors should be jumping in head first...

According to Chad Fordfrom ESPN.com:
Petro isn't particularly coveted, and he stretches the definition of "impact player" too far. Nevertheless, I've heard his name come up in myriad scenarios. Why? The Nets need to clear him off their roster to make room for whomever they sign in free agency this summer, and they're willing to offer the Rockets' first-round pick that they have to the team willing to take him into their cap room.

that pick is lotto protected until 2016 and turns into a 2nd rounder in 2017. i wouldn't take on his salary at the expense of losing out on signing someone decent in the summer.

its only 3.5 mill next season, and we could use a back up C anyways, hopefully the rockets make the playoffs

3.5 is a large chunk of our available space. imo the cap space is worth more than the pick.

we have tons of cap space for next year, I dont know, personally I would take him on for the year to have a chance at that pick, because worse comes to worse, rockets are probably making the playoffs next year if not this year

10 Mil isn't a tons. Now, i'm assuming BC will do something to add more through trade and/or amnesty. Possible giving us 15-20Mil or so but 3.5Mil to try and get a lottery protected 1st rounder for a team that isn't going to make the playoffs is not that bright imo.
