You love hockey and the NHL, i hate the NHL. We'll never agree on this subject so it is what it is. We usually get along when it comes to other shit but this subject is touchy for both of us and we should just drop it.

why drop it...we're just getting started here

i criticize everything you say about the NHL because first...you're wrong 90% of the time...and 2...everything you say is said in the tone of a malicious 2 year old...your inclusion of the Leafs in this thread (You must, you're a leaf fan?) is a perfect fucking example...pathetically predictable

i'm also one of the first in line to criticize the NHL, certain rules etc etc...i criticize and praise the league because ya, i love the game...but i'm not afraid to admit there are weaknesses in the league/game that need drastic changing as well
i'm a "fan"...not a "fanboy"

i do the exact same for basketball...i love the game...but i also see the direction this league is going...and it's not fucking good...it's becoming more biased everyday...and because of this i'm quickly losing interest

get over yourself dude...quit blindly defending a game that is clearly going down the wrong road...the GAME deserves better

It also reminded Bryant of the trade that brought Gasol in 2008 and paved the way for two championships.

“History repeats,” he said. “We got Pau for nothing, too.

Considering you only lost McRoberts and gained an upgrade at C as well as Duhon and Clark, you can consider that nothing.

I hope so. Even with these deals the Lakers haven't really got an answer defensively for Westbrook, Harden, and Durant. Don't forget that Perk is one of the best at defending Howard in the NBA.

He's been calling Bynum "nothing" since the rumors of the Jason Kidd trade. He said he wanted to ship his ass out lol.

Perk sucks. Put him in a pick and roll situation against Nash and Howard. I'd love to see him try and defend it.

I can see your line of thinking since Gasol can do more off the catch and be able to pop or roll, but Dwight is the best pick and roll bigman in the NBA because of the attention he draws on the roll, because teams know if he catches it, its over. You'll often see the corner man and the off ball PF go to Howard on the roll, creating either an open 3 or open spot up for the big. Nash is going to have a very easy season.

Thrills, you think LA's go-to play will be pick and roll with Nash/Howard?

Haha great excerpt:

This one is good too:

Quote:
WINNER: Mitch Kupchak and the Buss family It's a franchise that keeps making big moves — or, NOT making big moves — at the right time over and over again. Picking Kobe over Shaq in 2004. Keeping Kobe in 2007 when just about everyone else would have panic-traded him. Stealing Gasol from Memphis in 2008. Making a 2011 deal for Chris Paul that, in retrospect, would have been a hijacking if it hadn't been vetoed. Not panicking after the CP3 trade fell through and keeping Bynum and Gasol over blowing things up. And now, waiting out this Howard saga until they got exactly the trade they wanted.

Take it from a bitter 2012 Red Sox fan — just because you're a big-market team that can outspend everyone doesn't mean things can't get horribly screwed up. The Lakers nailed six franchise-altering moves over the past eight years, and that's not including last month's Nash trade, when they somehow convinced a Pacific Division rival that absolutely hates them to hand over their most iconic player for some meaningless picks and cap space. What an amazing run. You have to hand it to the Los Angeles Lakers.
