Interesting...

The Grizzlies have engaged in advanced discussions with the Knicks that will Darko Milicic in New York by week's end, unless Memphis winds up needing Milicic's expiring contract in another draft-related trade.

Sources say that the proposed swap would send Milicic to the Knicks for Quentin Richardson and cash. Milicic is scheduled to earn $7.5 million next season in the final year of a three-year deal he received from the Griz in 2007; Richardson has a player option for next season at $8.7 million.

yuck!
why would any one want Richardson?
9 million for that bum?

if memphis is looking for capsapace for next 2010, then that Bosh trade rumour may have some truth to it.

Exactly.

All they wopuld need then is a good center(but they would have around 14 million capsapce even after a potential Bosh deal.

Yeah, I saw that. You know something's wrong when you're going on your fourth team in 5 seasons and you're a talented dude.

What do you all think about them taking Jonny Flynn with the 8th pick?

Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni believes he can turn Milicic back into the promising prospect the Detroit Pistons thought they were drafting with the No. 2 pick in 2002. Milicic has shown flashes of promise from time to time, but most of his career has been a huge disappointment.

In New York, they'll ask Milicic to play more like a European center. He'll run the floor, shoot jumpers and even handle the ball a bit. Milicic is capable of all of that but has rarely shown it on the court in the NBA.

For the Grizzlies, they get an athletic wing in Richardson, who can provide some shooting and scoring off the bench, and a little cash for their troubles.

The Memphis Grizzlies have agreed to send Darko Milicic to the New York Knicks for Quentin Richardson and cash considerations.

I expect Darko to begin his reign of terror next season averaging 60-30 and 30 blocks en route to becoming the most feared duo with LeBron James when he chooses to sign there 2010.
