The Nuggets are animals. They got a taste playing deep in the playoffs and I am sure they will beat up on everybody. I still think they are the best team to knock off the lakers.

Fisher / Brown / Farmar
Kobe / Vujacic / Brown
Artest / Odom / Walton
Gasol / Odom / Powell
Bynum / Mbenga

The best player in the world, 2 of best perimeter defenders in the league in Kobe and Artest, the best sixth man in the league and the best second option in the league.

Dare I say "dynasty?"

Man they are sooo stacked...even if Kobe had an injury for like 2 months they would still have a starting line up of:

Fisher
Artest
Odom
Gasol
Bynum

Wow just Wow!

Is there any way LAL doesn't repeat barring injuries?

A stacked championship roster switching Ariza for Artest is just ridiculous.

What if Kobe and Artest have too much beef and things don't work out between them?

It's arguable Ariza is better than Artest. He's certainly a stronger defender at this point, and Artest isn't really better offensively, he just takes more shots

I think LA are the favorites but Bos, Orl, Cle, Sas are all right there, and I also feel Den is underrated and should've gone up 3-1 last year against the Lakers. It'll be interesting

I'll reserve judgement until i see how they gel together.

Artest's the better player no doubt, but he i don't think he'll be able to guard two's effectively anymore and is a downgrade in terms of fit from Ariza imo. Giving him 5 years was nuts.

They should've kept Ariza 'cause Artest is gonna be launching shots.

I happen to think Artest is the more talented player, but Lakers are seriously underrating what Ariza brought to the table in hustle plays/heart, etc. Artest is too unpredictable and there may be chemistry issues. Its good they brought back Odom it case Artest self-combusts.

I'm predicting Lakers won't be as good as last year with Artest, but still the top powerhouse in the NBA. That being said, as good as they were last year, they were taken to game 7 in the playoffs by 2 teams that had no right taking them that far. So I would say LA is NOT a definite lock for the championship or even the Western finalist if Spurs can keep Ginobili uninjured.
