Actually a pretty good read, but do you agree?

After watching Oden work out twice in the summer, both in a half-court setting, I too was convinced Oden was ready to make an immediate and emphatic impact on the NBA. The combination of his size, quickness and explosiveness is unique.

But during Oden's first four exhibition games, anything outside of a dunk has looked awkward, hurried or forced. Most of his rebounds have been caught flat-footed, not snared out of the air. And for the most part he has often lumbered up and down the court. From everything I had heard, I thought I would be more "wowed."

Ahhhh....snooch. Always ready to jump down Oden's neck. But like I said, if we had him, we'd be having wet dreams knowing he's pairing up with Bosh.

He'll be fine.

young big men always have a hard time adjusting. For the one simple reason that Oden looks like he's 50 years old, i think he'll be solid before the year is done. Keep in mind too that he was a no.1 pick. Regardless how good he is, it's still a lot of pressure for a young player to handle. adding that he missed a whole year, it's possible that he is "rushing" himseld out there and having a hard time gettig comfortable.

I think for now, he's just being cautious. Coming off that knee injury, he probably just wants to make sure that he makes it to game #1 pain-free. He's just working out some of the kinks. I know I would have LOVED to have a guy like that playing the low post for the Raps. He'll be fine. He won't set the league on fire initially, but 11-12ppg and 8-10rpg sounds about right.. just give him some time.

Hand injury, knee injury - already hurt his ankle in preseason.

I'm afraid he'll be too broken down before we ever get a chance to find out what he can do.

That is what happens when you get old!

All joking aside. Oden is going to be VERY GOOD in the NBA in my opinion. I had fun watching him for 3/4 of a year at Ohio State and can't wait to see what he does in the NBA.
