Blazers Oden hurt again

On the day when our All-Star Brandon Roy is supposed to announce his retirement, the Blazers quietly tell us that Oden is a no go. Everyday is a great day to be a Blazer fan!

I'm a Lakers fan, but wow, that's just terrible. I feel bad for the dude with him being labelled a bust and all. The dude can play, he just hasn't had the chance to show it.

He wasn't supposed to be ready till January but this guy is just never going to be able to withstand the rigors of the game. Big men especially feel the grind and he's just suffering injury endlessly.... I do feel bad even though I've generally criticized the hope that was forever placed in him.

The Thunder must thank their lucky stars every single day that POR took him with the #1 pick so that they could take Durant.

Dam, really sucks for Oden. He just can't seem to get a break and be healthy. I guess its safe to say that at least Portland didnt give him a long term contract. On the plus side he is only 23/24 years of age so still fairly young

This man looks like he's 50 and gets hurt like he's 60, I'm pretty sure he's not 23.

I was really looking forward to see him play. It's unfortunate.

Dont know if you were sarcastic, but he turns 24 in Jan
Greg Oden Stats - ESPN

So despite his age hopefully he gets it together around mid to high 20s and become a serviceable big man rather than one with star potential

I remember watching the guys when he was OSU and you could see how dominate he could be on the defensive end. His offensive game was coming along, but he was that once in a generation Centre that you just can't give up on. I would've taken him 1st overall too.

It really, really sucks that his body is giving up on him.

Crazy stuff. Oden just can't seem to stay healthy. Big blow to the Blazers partnered with the Roy retirement. Damn.
