If this is true regarding Shumpert's inclusion one could summarize that this might be a done deal. Pheonix has coveted the 6'5" guard last year. I think the Knicks have gone crazy.

Another factor in play here are reports from those close to Nash that he wants to play for a team in which his ex-wife would be willing to move with their children. As they currently live in New York, that makes the Knicks even more appealing.

The Toronto Raptors are still clinging to their hopes of landing Nash, even signing Landry Fields in an attempt to make it even more difficult for the Knicks to land Nash. Bryan Colangelo has stated, “We gave it our best shot,” when asked about the reports of the Nash to Knicks deal nearing completion.

While the Knicks did not want to part ways with Iman Shumpert after a fine rookie season, the opportunity to add Nash to their mix is enough to send him to Phoenix. Shumpert continues to rehab after tearing his ACL and will miss a significant portion of the 2012-13 season.

With Jeremy Lin coming off a season of “Linsanity,” he is meeting with the Houston Rockets today, as HOOPSWORLD’s Alex Kennedy reports. Houston is expected to make an offer to Lin for his service that is back-loaded, attempting to make New York think twice about matching the offer.

The Knicks have stated they will match any offer Lin receives to keep him in New York. If so, it looks as if Lin will have the opportunity to learn from one of the best point guards in NBA history.

I for one would prefer Lowry or Dragic, but if we could not land one of those two I would be more than happy with Nash.....we just need to do SOMETHING to upgrade. And no Fields is not enough

It was that he is capable of making players around him better right from word go. This would have allowed the team a good amount of time to bring in and deveolp whoever they thought would be the point guard of the future while allowing the core to grow. you can be successfull with a young PG now, but there is still the learning phase. In this conference, you could be buried quickly waiting to gel.

And it would have meant success now, something T.O. fans deserve after years of not seing much reward for support some other franchises would love to have.
