Nets Nets willing to trade Devin Harris to get Rubio?

Here's what was posted on RealGm... from commercial appeal.com

Their link didn't work i'll try and get it... But here's a quote from the article.

2nd Pick Up For Grabs- Devin Harris On The Block
by lemondrop on Thu Jun 18, 2009 11:26 am

Are the Griz entertaining trade offers for the second pick?

Absolutely. Sacramento, Houston, Boston, Minnesota, Washington and New York are among the teams that have made offers -- some ridiculous.

Are there any potential trades scenarios that have gone underreported?

Sure. The New jersey Nets are said to be willing to part with point guard Devin Harris. The Griz should ponder if Harris is worth the second pick.

Ugh ... Rod Thorn would have to have some pretty big balls to pull that trade.

And not much of a brain. I guess he's thinking he can replace Harris for a cheaper version and not lose much on the court. I call Bullshit on this one. I just can't see it happening.

Isn't Harris up for a new contract soon? Which would mean alot more money.

Rod Thorn is smart, hes not insane. You dont trade a potential top 5 PG(not yet, but probably this year) for a prospect who looks great. You have near greatness already.

I would have to imagine that there would be many more solid role players added to the trade in order to make the deal sound enticing. Straight up the second pick for Harris sounds too lopsided.

if the nets really want this. We should trade Calderon and our # 9 for that pick on draft day... and pick up harris.

Harris/Delfino/Marion/Bosh/Bargs

sounds like a big 3 + 1 and a championship calibre team

this is almost as funny as the thread saying how Rondo was on the trade block...
Harris is not going anywhere. the guy is the best player on that team, he's also the leader, and he's also young and getting better everytime he laces up.
he's untouchable IMO.

Well, it is that time of year where armchair GMs work their magic on the ESPN trade simulator.
